Illinois has multiple cities with populations over 100,000 not within 100 miles of Chicago
So does New York State as Im sure does PA

You take NYC out and it's really just Buffalo, Syracuse and Rochester over 100K (Buffalo no more than 250K)

Most of the other cities that have a ton of people are right around NYC
