That's why you just got to sit back and let them hate lol. I actually watched full games of Chino Hills over the last couple years. Melo is a beast and most of the basketball heads I know outside of the coli say the same.according to espn rankings he's ranked 8th and the top PG in the nation in his class
ESPN Basketball Recruiting - Super 60 Player Rankings
he has his flaws just like any other 15 year old such as bad shot selection and subpar defense, but defense isnt even a priority for our mvp runner up or our 2 time unanimous mvp.. that being said the only difference between lamelos flaws and these other ranked pg's is that he is under a microscope and they arent
dude went to oak hill as a sophomore against older high ranked players and ate their food, dude puts up numbers against every ranked prospect coli scouts would say is better than him.. offensively he's elite he just needs to make better decisions
but coli scouts gonna tell u he's average and their lil cousin who plays for the rec league would eat his food
Are yall even watching enough of him to even be giving this level of analysis? Like, hasn't he only been in high school for like 1 year lol? Or are yall just basing this on sensationalized youtube videos? A lot of the shyt yall saying may be true, but if you've never watched the nikka play multiple, FULL games, then shut the fukk up.
I've watched about 5-10 full games of just LaMelo against various levels of competition and extended clips from other games, not highlights. There's tons of film on him because of the AAU circuit.
He is not efficient on offense. His offense comes from volume, end of story. When you break it down between half court and transition the disparity really shows. Even against normal High School competition he doesn't operate effectively in the half court. All he really takes in the half court are tough pull up shots and he's always fading, setting his mechanics up poorly for the future.
He doesn't have the passing ability Lonzo does.
His handle is more show than actual substance.
PNR game lacking.
Does nothing off ball to get himself open.
All of these deficiencies are glaring when he goes up against equal level of competition:
Now you just hating brah.![]()
nikka you said "he not a better passer than lonzo" nikka Lonzo is 20 and in the NBA.I should be charging for that level of analysis..
Thread title asks why he's ranked #18, and I just told you exactly why![]()
