Why VH1 stop doing Hip-Hop Honors?

The shows were good, but the ratings were not great especially after the last show, plus like previous posters said, the purists and old school guys, many of whom work in the industry behind the scenes felt the whole movement was being trivialized. It's a shame though, I'm always a fan of more old-school oriented hip-hop shows.

the south fukked it up, plus like somebody said all the old heads who grew up listening to bdk, slick rick, epmd, ect dont really watch whats on vh1 for the most part anyway, they rather show basketball whores and a bunch of other reality tv shows that get much better ratings.

Maybe they should have moved it to different locations every year so the regions that the artist were more popular could react and appreciate it more..

^as youve previously stated in different words, this wasnt a real new york crowd.

they dont know about too short dissing anybody. and new york doesnt even care about that at this point.

the bottom line was that too short's performance was weak and sucked the air out of the show. oldhead looked like it was past his bedtime.
