No it's because Kareem is a dikkhead.

There have always been a handfull of basketball purists that have argued in his favor even over Jordan. Now I don't agree, but it's interesting how even with his resume, impact, influence and even the current all time points record holder, he couldn't get over the hump. He was stand-off ish to a fault, by his own admission.

MJ > Kareem but the gap seems wider than it is because of that fact. It wasn't like people waited til Jordan had a comparable resume to crown him...he was already being called one of, if not THE greatest before he became THAT, people already saw it and felt it and he just confirmed it further.

If having more total points didn't move the need for Malone, Kobe or even Cap, it shouldn't for Bron either. But if/when it does, it damn sure won't be about actual substance, it's gonna be based on perception. LBGT gonna sandbag mike for being a bully or some shyt.
