Not to bash anyone that does, but just like to know the rationale behind it.:ld:

I have a 64gb ipod that i can stream for free and have the latest music seconds after it's out and if it's a certain track you don't have you can always google search it and have it streaming in under a minute.

So what's the point? :dahell:
hov did it for us so you aint have to go through that:mjpls:

Cause its just easier to pay for Spotify and not have to worry about downloading shyt. I can hear a random old funk song in the car on the radio, type in the artist name, and bam i got their 20 greatest hits right there. I dont have to wait to download anything, i dont have to keep doing youtube searches, etc....

I never understood this, you could keep this money you pay for streaming services, to invest in an actual record collection :yeshrug:

I got an idea for a streaming music app that will generate money for the boss me, and free for users at the same time. I just need to figure out how to get this shyt started. That's always the hardest part especially when you don't have the funds to throw at a project like this and going to kickstarter is just begging for people to still your idea.:mjcry:

Edit: back on topic, I've never been a radio person, I like to be in control of what I listen to so I don't give a fukk about music apps, I put all my music into Google Play and ot fallows me wherever I go and onto whatever whip. But most people seem to like radio and streaming music so I figured out how to get money from this streaming thing without charging the users and be profitable at the same time.

Tried Spotify for the first time and i am easily impressed. Thought about going premium for that. I guess this is the industry's way to cut down on those who download mp3 or flacs. You can still find decent mp3 or flac ins high quality but you still have to pay weather if you use premium account for Upload or usenet. There's hardly any legit free services except for torrents (which can be useful at times). I still prefer them mp3 files properly tagged stuff.

Don't say there no legit sources just because you haven't dug deep enough. I haven't used a torrent in years, nor newsgroups or whatever and I can find pretty much anything I want

I'd pay for premium streaming if the artist payouts were better. Until then I'll keep buying physical mostly and some digital. Streaming for free

Is this is a feature to encourage one to buy the premium service? Or is there a setting I can change to change that shyt to standard play?

If thats how it is for all new albums Im off this shyts and back to torrents n youtube :sas2:

I hate streaming sites.
shyt, has no rhythm to the playlist and whoever it is who programs the playlist.
was never in the culture, and you can tell by what comes on after the last record.
shyt is a wack ass buzz kill.

go find your music and make your playlist, fukk stream sites.

I can understand it but I enjoy building a music library. Replacing albums I've lost over the years, downloading stuff that I never had back the day and finding new stuff. I passed a TB a bit ago and I'd like to keep it going. :manny:

Ironically enough I budget about $20 to $30 a month for music on stuff that I'll buy. But the closest thing that will match my eclectic taste would be last.fm on my own station.

I used to be like the OP but tried Spotify premium and I can't ever go back.

:banderas:

Seriously, try it. It's like having access to all the world's music at once. :blessed: I have old vinyl records that are scratched and I can't play that I can stream thru Spotify. Whenever a new joint hits the net it's on Spotify. :ohlawd:
