Truth is it is idealistic to think you can just go back to Africa and everything will be gravy. Africa is a massive place with a complex history, going back there and establishing yourself takes a lot of hard work. You dont just get off the plane and are instantly an African king. establishing a livelihood takes a lot of effort and dedication. But it can be done, and there are many positives and opportunities. also, it does help to have a certified degree from a University or a trade.
On the other hand, staying in America and establishing yourself here is just as idealistic. You can't just go to College and you are guaranteed success. Yes it is possible to succeed here, but it is not promised. The American economy is not as stable as it once appeared to be and up starters often feel the biggest brunt of it. And anyone talking about the Irish and the Italians need to understand that a lot of those early migrants came with wealth from selling all their belongings back home, plus the Irish took part in the early land grabs and the Italians operated for decades in unregulated trades of goods and services. It's an entirely different history that established ownership rights that Blacks were not able to attain.
Success for African Americans will take generations, regardless of whether you are in the US or Africa. I personally believe both are important but having lived in both places, Africa appeals to me a little more. It's not about "throwing in the towel" because some might say simply staying in America is "throwing in the towel" and taking the easy way out. I see both choices as difficult roads to take, but Africa simply appeals to me more in satisfying my soul. Of course we cant all just massively migrate, but anyone who is personally considering it I strongly recommend you take the trip.

This is mostly true. Negroid facial features are built to help keep the body cool so blacks feel cold air more than everyone else. Being born and raised in the north myself, I'm pretty indifferent to cold weather although I can sympathize with how some blacks may be hesitant. The reactions from some people ITT to Alaska is

But that state is the only hope AAs have for building a homogeneous society on American turf while still preserving African-American culture. We're pretty much screwed unless Africa suddenly starts an open door policy for people of the African diaspora

I haven't read the whole thread yet. Just on the first page. But my point still stands, if all some of you see is $$$$$$ in going back or thinking of ways to make money off them. we are no different, being the same color doesn't make it ok. Are you guys going to be moving to the war zone areas? Or the places I keep seeing on here, the developed places, the vacation places, the American( for lack of a better term) looking cities.
Let's keep it real. No matter how you look at it,us going back to the developed/safe areas will take some of their jobs. Some of us are just trying to sugar coat it and say we will be creating jobs for them. Yeah ok I'm sure you want a big return on that investment.

Alaska is the only place on American soil where AAs could build up homogeneous societies dominated by AAs with little to no foreign interference.
Going back to Africa would be too much paperwork and too much of a culture contrast

This whole idea of black folks leavin the U.S is mostly bullshyt. The idea of leavin something that we built from the ground up is defeatist talk.
Why can't we build our own wealth and economic base from within like Asians and Mexicans. I do think it is a good idea for American black folks to work with and network with Africans tho.

Here's the reality, America was a country founded by the brown man and then stolen by the white man to be a ground for white men (and only white men) to succeed. AAs are never going to win in mainland America. If Hispanics become the majority, you can bet your ass things will just get worse. It shouldnt be a crime for black people to not want their descendants to have to live life on hard mode as a result of being black in a country that favors the fair skinned

I think AAs as a whole could use a fresh start. You're speaking as if AAs have our shyt together and the only thing holding us back is white people and while white people are detrimental to us in a lot of ways, we are also detrimental to ourselves. We're stuck in a vicious cycle (which is in large part due to white people ofc) and the best way to break the cycle at this point is to simply pull the plug

I can see myself getting along with Africans. But I'm bi, and in many of those countries there is a death penalty for that. The politics of countries like Germany and Canada appeal to me more because of my life and how I live it. Why would I want to move to Africa and put myself in that position? I'd rather move to another first world country. Because I have sense.
As for the second part of your post, it only exposes your own ignorance towards your own history. Black people CREATED rock, and many black musicians are rock legends such as Chuck Berry and Jimi Hendrix. Continuing on that, there are many black genres that are essentially a take on rock. Funk being the most prominent example.
