Lmao stop it.
You said this shyt in response to my reply to Eddy Gordo where I stated Americans did not have the technological literacy to understand invasive government technology in the 90s. So, what are YOU even talking about?
America has only in the past maybe decade become computer literate.
It doesn't matter if every American was computer literate.in 2017 almost everyone has at least 1 computer in their house and is connected to the internet.
in 1997 it wasn't even a quarter of that.
not to mention computers and software are way more easier to get around now then they were then.
most ppl were not computer literate in '97 bruh. maybe in your cohort, but not over the whole population in all demo's.
you have to look at things holistically and not just in your narrow view.
I said one of the single most. Not the single most. I then gave you some of the major developments that happened in that 1997/1998 period. All were massive to the growth of the PC industry as we know it.Single most important year ever!!!
Sure, they'd have to choose between Slave, Master, or Cable select.I recall having to set my secondary hard drive jumper to "slave" in order for it to be recognized by my system.
but what do I know...you seem to be the coli expert on everything...so you tell me.
You're saying that like we don't know that the NSA has the tools and does spy on Americans. Why wouldn't the CIAthe CIA having tools that allow them to snoop is no different than the military having advanced weaponry. You are clearly conflating the having of tools with that being an inherent infringement on constitutional rights. This is not true and poor logic.
But you're Russian.![]()
You said:
You've shown in your own data that 1/3 of Americans households owned a computer and even more had access in 1997.
Based on your own data by the turn of the century majority of Americans had access to a computer.
What you haven't shown is that these users were largely computer illiterate. Nor have you shown that Americans only have become computer literate in the last 10 years.
You also have not shown any data showing the Americans are anything more computer literate as an aggregate specifically regarding hacking, malware, phishing, or social engineering. That's the crux of your position.
All you've shown is more people own devices and can use these devices.

But this isn't about the NSA. This is about the CIA. Once again, there's no need to conflate two separate agencies and their issues. You're saying that like we don't know that the NSA has the tools and does spy on Americans. Why wouldn't the CIA
Disgusting posts tbh.
Downplaying the feds literally being in your house, car, office, bathroom, etc without a warrant.
We have Constitutional rights for a reason. You are willingly throwing them away.
The tools the CIA has today, your local police department will have in a few years.
"I dont do anything criminal or that would put me at risk". - Yeah cause the feds never fukked with innocents![]()
Germany is unhappy, once again, about our spying in their affairs.
You're looking at it wrong. People are not suddenly outraged about this news. This is a continuation of outrage from improprieties of our government illegally creating a massive surveillance state over the past few decades. Its really sad that your post is dismissive and it seems like you've given up and just accepted this new status quo of government intrusion. Its NOT ok for our government to be doing this. Its literally against our Constitution.
America has only in the past maybe decade become computer literate. Before that, most people had no idea what phishing, hacking, etc were. When news broke of the NSA having a secret listening room inside of AT&T's building, most people didn't care. They had no idea what that meant or what they were capable of. This was more than a decade ago and the technological climate was very different. Today, our country is much more literate in technology and we are now fully aware of the improprieties of our government. If you tried to make a claim a decade ago that the NSA was illegally spying on Americans, you would be a conspiracy theorist. Most people wouldn't even understand your claim and evidence would be nearly impossible to attain. If you made it up to the courts, the feds would drop "national security" on the case and it would be dismissed. Today, we HAVE the leaks. We HAVE the evidence. We HAVE the resources and knowledge to understand what is really going on. They've desensitized our society into giving up our liberties for temporary security and thats not a sound policy.
see this is going to start a war, Germany is being spied on for obvious reasons - like no one remembers the two world wars they dragged us into? really?
Germany is one of the USA's allies and hosts US bases and troopsman stfu
NSA isn't hacking 95% of Americans, they don't have the man power - they are looking for specific people . Geez you're so obtuse , crying and crying. You're the key demographic for wikileaks - Angry , dumb ass , neo nerd liberals who want to see the downfall of america, so that they can go live in slave camps in China.
