3mb/s down & 1mb/s up, your ping is way more important than your speeds. The location data passed back and forth is relatively small. So lower the ping the better.

Anytime you use the internet while simultaneously using Skype, iTunes, PS3 online, etc it kills your performance. A router won't help. Now, if your router needs a FIRMWARE update, that's different.

Also, if you are running that Kaspersky, that can slow your service down big time because of the phishing filter. Make a service call mane

I'm downloading 2.3GB movies on my phone in like 12-15 mins I think...it be @2.3mb-3.8mbs downloading. I can't imagine downloading at the other speed.
