I haven't been a fan of Wayne for years but to put Drake anywhere near him is :heh: and short sighted as hell.

Wayne been going strong for 14 years. Drake has barely been relevant 5 years. For them to even be equal, let alone for Drake to actually pull ahead, he'd have to be some kind of factor for 9 more years. All stanning aside, how likely do you think that is?

Secondly, Wayne didn't need a Drake to get to the level he's on. Thirdly, Wayne has sold far more records. It's like this board's memory gets wiped every time a new rapper blows up. Suddenly they're the biggest thing that ever existed and any accomplishments or record sales prior to their debut are rendered obsolete.

Stop it man. I'm a firm believer that Wayne fell off a good 5+ years ago, and thought "C3" and almost every thing after it was laughably terrible. But to say he was never a good rapper? He was definitely at the very least a "good" rapper at one point.

Yeh it really is short-sighted. We talking about Da Drought series, Dedication series, Tha Carters series, Blow I Can't Feel My Face(:wow:) Sorry 4 the Wait, No Ceilings. Wayne single handily made Datpiff.com...I hope the owners of that site cut homie a check. Had nyggas across the world claiming the 504 and 305 simultaneously :skip:...Ain't nobody reppin Toronto. Even though Drake gets it in and I like what he's doing. Wayne was on an entirely different level. He had Sway and other notable New York dikk riders ready to crown him better than Jay-Z, Nas, whoever.

I remember when that shyt dropped and it had everyone like :lupe: is he serious right now? This little nygga just might be the best rapper alive? :lupe:
