I haven't been a Wayne fan for a few years now (he hasn't been consistently dope since 08 imo ), but I think what hurt Wayne in the end was the fact that he declined lyrically, and that he also rose to prominence during what many critics consider to be the height of the ringtone era. Nonetheless, I think it's a tad bit of a reach to call that nikka completely wack during this time period. You can see he was overrated;you can say he's not the best rapper alive; but I'd have to question your judgement if you didn't think Wayne wasn't putting in work during his '05-'08 run.

sure he was on a lot of songs..EVEYRONEs songs..but him doing songs with the p*ssycat dolls and dj khaled songs no one ever wants to hear again really isnt that impressive. and years from now will be even less. like you said sh*tty era of ringtone rap
