Stop analyzing
Criticizing
You should realize
What I am is 'n start epitomizing
Legitimate
Got the heart of the biggest lion
Confident like fukk em all
Pull out my dikk and ride it
My flow sick so sick its like my shyt is dyin'
It rains a lot in my city
Cause my city's cry's'
'cause my cities dyin''
But I emerge from all of that
I am a livin' pion-eer near Zion
Fear god not them
Steer my robbin'' coupe through the streets to the booth and sue woop
Then I leave a tub in the booth
I leave a blood bath
Sorry there's a tub in the booth
Now where the drugs at
im twisted Like the strings on the shoe
No nikka fukk that
I'm twisted like the strings on a boot
Now Where new Orleans at?
I feel hip hop stole me like a bus pass
So in your possession
I must ask

Yeh it really is short-sighted. We talking about Da Drought series, Dedication series, Tha Carters series, Blow I Can't Feel My Face(:wow:) Sorry 4 the Wait, No Ceilings. Wayne single handily made Datpiff.com...I hope the owners of that site cut homie a check. Had nyggas across the world claiming the 504 and 305 simultaneously :skip:...Ain't nobody reppin Toronto. Even though Drake gets it in and I like what he's doing. Wayne was on an entirely different level. He had Sway and other notable New York dikk riders ready to crown him better than Jay-Z, Nas, whoever.

I remember when that shyt dropped and it had everyone like :lupe: is he serious right now? This little nygga just might be the best rapper alive? :lupe:

What's funny is, I don't even consider myself a Wayne fan. At one point I was, he fell off IMO. But some of the shyt being said in this thread is so outlandish I had to speak up. I wouldn't even put Drake on Nelly's level yet, let alone Wayne, someone that's been around 14+ years.

a sale is a sale.. dont get MAD that jay isnt a worlwide artist like that

EM has sold more albums outside the US than in it

if you sold music and it was movin units in japan and other countries you wouldnt count them as SALES?

being a WW hip-hop artist is the mist difficult thing to achieve.. thats why theres only 3 in history who have made a mark WW.. jay aint one of them :umad:... even tho hes trying his hardest with the bullshyt euro shyt hes been trying to push since BP3

90's Nas maybe.

Jay no.

Till this day, I still havent heard a rapper exude such absolute raw energy, talent, swag, charisma, delivery all in one in this song.

And this aint even his peak song in that era.

:comeon: 01-03 hov>>>>>>>

hov was killing features too for undeniable hits. crazy in love, frontin, stuff with sigel, camron, freeway and Outkast. his own albums bp and black album etc.

hell all those unreleased blueprint 2 songs that never made the album>>wayne

only a 90s baby would disagree

waynes last good album to me was c2 and that was EIGHT years ago

I haven't been a Wayne fan for a few years now (he hasn't been consistently dope since 08 imo :manny:), but I think what hurt Wayne in the end was the fact that he declined lyrically, and that he also rose to prominence during what many critics consider to be the height of the ringtone era. Nonetheless, I think it's a tad bit of a reach to call that nikka completely wack during this time period. You can see he was overrated;you can say he's not the best rapper alive; but I'd have to question your judgement if you didn't think Wayne wasn't putting in work during his '05-'08 run.

Whem EM came back (2009) that was the beginning of the END of his reign

specifically that FOREVER verse... that killed all the hype that wayne was "the best rapper alive" only reason he rose to the height he reached was because of EM's absence and it left a vaccum in the industry and wayne filled that void

sure he was on a lot of songs..EVEYRONEs songs..but him doing songs with the p*ssycat dolls and dj khaled songs no one ever wants to hear again really isnt that impressive. :manny: and years from now will be even less. like you said sh*tty era of ringtone rap

when the last time u heard duffle bag boy? I actually had to wiki to see some other non khaled songs he was on that were big cuz they were THAT forgettable after only less than 5 years. (make it rain, sweetest girl, the one with enrique iglesias). crazy in love still being played 10 years later.

He's the iverson of rap.. a lot of "stats" that dont amount to anything.
