3 chips 4 mvps all NBA defense classic playoff performances has been the best player in the league for about the past seven years and counting he's one of the most versatile players the game has ever seen career averages of 27 7 7 2 and 1 with incredible efficiency exciting to watch, he's chopping down the record book and when it's all said and done might finish with more points than anyone in league history while also being top 10 in assist and he's coming off two of the greatest finals performances ever seen if that's not goat worthy I don't know what the hell is...last year people were saying lebron was slowing down despite the fact that he was averaging like 25 8 and 6 if that's falling off and leaving your prime then that tells you just how highly as a player you're regarded lebron is held to a different as of standards and what's crazy is that he's met and surpassed them all......If you're a true hoop fans you gotta respect it

I respect it but top 3 is reaching IMO :yeshrug:, at the end of the day rings matter and he underachieved with the Heat, to our and even his expectations, it's facts.
The future is not looking too bright for him, these superstars are starting to get tired of trying to play "fair", when it's all said and done I can't see him with a good finals record, I wouldn't doubt if he retired just to not fukk up his record even more.
4-5th is fair. He can be the greatest of his generation but he wasn't the best player in the league consecutively since 08 or whenever he started being claimed as the best, people constantly look down on other players just to boost his ego and that's on the media too. KD and Steph both had superior seasons than him during this time, and he's not being the best this year, despite the excuses people always give.

This GOAT talk gots to go, his window closes this year.

What Lebron did is to take the player Michael Jordan was between 1987-1988 and 1989-1990 and expand upon it.

By that I mean, he’s the player who really makes Scoring and Passing equal parts of the Point Guard’s repertoire. You can see that by the relatively equal Usage and Assist Percentages in the mid-30 percent range.

9) Here’s Michael Jordan 1987-1990. (Per Basketball-Reference.com)

The keys here are the 30%+ Assist Percentages and Usage Percentages, the 61% True Shooting Percentage, the fact that Jordan adds defensive value.

10) Now here’s Lebron James from 2004-2014. (Also per Basketball-Reference.com)

Lebron James is a more passing oriented version of the same player. There’s differences of course in terms of style, in terms of minutiae. However, if we’re drawing in broad strokes, Lebron James is basically a bigger version of peak-era Michael Jordan. I don’t particularly care which one you would choose as the best. As far as perimeter players, I think you’re splitting hairs when choosing between Magic, Jordan and Lebron. We are just lucky we get to watch.

:ehh: Interesting take on the Jordan/Bron comparisions
