I like how people say he's top 2. The same people that probably never watched a lick of Magic/Kareem and for damn sure never saw Wilt. Probably didn't even see Jordan.

To say Lebron is top 2, before his career is even over, is just disrespectful to other all time greats. Hell it's disrespectful to all the all time greats to suggest Jordan has some huge gap to them. It's not really a huge gap, he just clearly had the best career, but that doesn't mean Kareem's/Magic's/Lebron/etc all aren't all up there in terms of talent/skill.

You forgot that Nike/ESPN/ABC was begging us to "Witness" LeBron.
Marketing is part of the game when it comes to sports/entertainment....14 years later what other number 1 pick, let alone one straight out of HS with that hyped in any sport has delivered the way he has...

You forgot that he called himself "The Chosen One" while rocking the saintly #23.
We have never seen anything like LeBron ever with his size, speed and strength and basketball abilities and again straight of out of HS and has delivered

You forgot that he called himself the "best basketball player in the world" while failing to bring home the chip.
The fact that series went 6 games when he was without his 2 starters against as 67 win team shows the fact that was/is the best player in the world..again we ask dude to do things that we would not ask out of any other greats.." Go win a title without your 2nd/3rd best players"

You forgot that he formed super-teams and still BARELY won his chips, despite being the "leader" of overwhelming favored teams.
All greats have had talent and other greats around them, some had more than others....

You forgot that he put himself on the NBA's Mount Olympus while simultaneously leaving off Bill Russell, the single greatest champion the game has ever seen :GhostfaceStare:smile:.
His personal opinion...hell people don't consider Russell as the greatest ever despite his 11 titles, which is another discussion...

Honestly, fukk LeBron's hype. If he didn't gass himself up throughout his entire career, he'd have a better argument for GOAT player.
Your first statement was Nike/ESPN/ABC was hyping him up now it was himself...and that's your reason for him not having a argument...

No. My argument is that because Lebron's hype (self-made or created by others) set the bar so high from the first time he stepped foot on the court that he was ALREADY being compared to Jordan. And with Jordan as the supposed measuring stick for greatness, LeBron fell short. Thus, he never lived up to the hype.

LeBron would've had a lot more appreciation for his game had he not allowed himself to be compared to Jordan since his rookie year.

I honestly can't understand any argument for Lebron to be in the top 5 other than finals played which to me is ridiculous. His stats are inflated, his conference was trash during the majority of his career, how can y'all put him above the likes of Magic, Duncan, Kareem, etc is just beyond me.

The media made an incredible job of brainwashing people on this nikka. He got 3 rings but somehow rings don't matter only to when it comes to Lebron :laff:.

No.

Unless he plans to win the next two championships over the Warriors his argument against Jordan's isn't even that sound. That's not taking away from his greatness, it's just Jordan's dominance was so consistent once he got going. There was no finals defeats, no creating super teams, none of that shyt. Just 2 3-peats and general dominance.

He did have some sweeps and first round outs at the same point in his career lebron was making the finals and going thru deep playoff runs

Why do you'll put down the east you can only play who's in front of you besides there was no competition in the west back in the 80s the 2000s and 2010s east shyts on the 80s west...and how are his stats inflated that argument literally makes no sense

How does one create self made hype if the results don't pan out? He could talk about himself until he's blue in the face but if he's not producing results then it doesn't matter...

Ok so he didn't go 6-0 in finals...that means he never lived up to the hype as going down as one of the best basketball players EVER??? again I ask tell me another athlete that has had this amount of attention since he was 16 and has delivered in any sport?

If he ends his career with 5, yes FIVE and not 6 he's the GOAT, considering he's beaten far better teams in the Finals than most of his peers. The 2012 Spurs and 16 Warriors are better than any Finals team Kobe beat in his entire NBA career and a good chunk of the teams Jordan faced. And if we're being completely honest here to get his next 2 he's most likely going to have to beat GS again, who have the best on-paper roster ever.:yeshrug:

Dudes love to talk about ring count when it comes to LeBron but then conveniently forget quality of the rings. If ring count was all that mattered why aren't yall pumping Bill Russell > MJ? I thought so. :stopitslime:
