The city just isn't that important.

Is that Dutch?
In honor of your city here is a classic battle between Brooklyn's own Big Daddy Kane and Philadelphia's Jazz Fresh. Enjoy!

they got some of the best soul and hip hop coming out of their tho.

the white folks are carrying kendrick.
its not rocket science.

I thought by now some cat from Philly would take over rap.....on some Jay-Z shyt.....on some Biggie Ready to Die shyt. Meek aight but, I'm talkin somebody bigger. Anybody who listens to Philly shyt know nikkas down here rap as good, if not better than New York dudes yet, they got Biggie, Nas, Pac (born there), Jay, LL, Ra, Kane. All types of fukkin legends and we got zilch![]()
For a city as talented as Philly, its fukkin depressing. Just like the Eagles![]()
LA got Dre, Cube, Snoop & now Kendrick. Chicago got Yeezy. The South got Weezy, Tip, Outkast, Face, Jeezy, Ross.
Goddamn, we dont got not one superstar out of all these rappers here![]()

yo..as a cat who grew up on Kane, is it me or did he get beat in this battle?
It ain't as bad as how Kool g murdered him in the symphony tho.

umm....
how are u gonna give New York 2pac but give Kanye when West was really born in the ATL?
and why u just naming nikkaz from the South and the city Philly itself have its own region? Philadelphia , New York, and Boston are all considered the same area but why the South is one area? Lil Wayne, T.I., and Scarface are from 3 different states for crying out loud and the South has like 60 or 65% of all the black population in the United States and plus its the region with the most people.
Because Kanye let ATL as a baby and Tupac left Harlem when he was 15. Two different things.

The thing is we heard a lot of his shyt on his albums plus punchlines from the 80s might not have the same impact as they did at the time. But Jazz did his thing, it wasnt a slaughter like biz markie said. Jazz flow was crazy and his rhymes were fresh, no pun intended. He was in a group that put out a single called its all about money and his flow was ahead of its time.
