Witcher 3. After fallout 4 Im not understanding the hype.

I have the Witcher 3 and don't enjoy the game. It's beautiful but too linear. I wish I never bought the game.

You clearly haven't played it, or you don't know what linear means. FF13 is linear, God of War is linear, Witcher 3 is an open world game with various quests ala Fallout/Skyrim. Again, you must be confused as to what linear means or you're using it in a different context.

5? You mean SFV? And yeah, I feel you. The funny thing is, while I often made comparisons of this and Bloodborne, I can appreciate each game's respective differences of how they handle everything, from combat, to story-telling, world building and presentation, EVEN the differences in difficulty factors. The sole exception to this is that the controls of Witcher 3 are just being barely serviceable and Bloodborne's are pitch perfect. It utterly destroys W3 in that aspect. True sad fact tho...I've still yet to finish either game and I've not played either of them since many moons ago. Too Many Games...Too Little Time.

Witcher is fun, it just isn't the masterpiece (to me) that it is to some people. Can get kinda slow at times, I've actually dosed off a few times playing it
Combat shouldn't be that hard for you though. Upgrade your weapons fukka

Game was\is boring, combat is soso but it has A1 story telling and is beautiful. But it never grabbed me I bought it again for 22$ on Black Friday and its still good but I know I'll wait until Fallout is over

Said the same thing. I wanted to like it but The Witcher mat as well be Lunesta in digital form for me.
Absolute snooze fest and I love western RPGs. Geralt is far from my favorite protagonist also, and his Dark Knight impression is grating.

The Witcher jazz afflicted his speech but it doesn't make it any more tolerable.
Wanted to like it. Couldn't. Deleted it and moved on to MGSV.




Nothing about the game holds my attention, but I suppose they did something right for it to garner the praise it did.
Whatever that something is though, just ain't for me.

Im waiting till its $20 or less. Been burned by too many overhyped open world games to spend more than that. But Im interesting to try witcher 3 since apparently its different than most open worlds and the side quests are more meaningfull. We'll see
