Witcher 3 was just to boring to me...

My most hyped game of the year and I just stopped playing it because it started feeling like such a chore...combat just boils down to parrying dodging and using igni...i need more than that if I am investing dozes of hours in a game

Fallout 4 is so much better..I probably put at least 60 hours into my first two playthroughs and I am already scheming up a character build for another one...

I don't even have Witcher 3 over DAI...
Wish I could look at those shytty graphics for 60 hours. 5 did me in for good. Gotta sell this joint

Im waiting till its $20 or less. Been burned by too many overhyped open world games to spend more than that. But Im interesting to try witcher 3 since apparently its different than most open worlds and the side quests are more meaningfull. We'll see

thats how much i got it for

The monsters are on level 4 as well. I am using spells, Ive tried fire and blast, man Im not an idiot I've tried many things, repairing my weapons, armor, even upgraded a sword and wasted all my money.

reading this thread I want to try one last thing. Im assuming he pulls out the right sword depending on the enemy AUTOMATICALLY, maybe this is wrong and I should manually choose the silver sword?

also. the whole oils and potions bullshyt is kinda lame, its real bayonetta-ish where you have to find remedies etc, you're out there picking flowers and shyt, at least with fallout, you'd run into those supplies along the way, you didn't have to side track just to pick up random shyt. food barely moves is health bar and i have thunderbolt potion which does fukk all. leads me to believe these potions and oils arent worth it. I defeated the first griffin without even using it.

edit: maybe i should have leveled up somewhere? i did deny one question, baron asked me to look for his wife and I declined........

Some of you just shouldn't be playing RPGs with the type of complaints you have :snoop:

I say the same thing, but I also want more people playing RPGs, they're a great experience all around, beautiful lush worlds, epic gameplay and awesome characters. A lot of these complaints are petty, but hopefully with some words of advice people on the board give said games a second chance.

Usually he pulls the right sword but not always. I'd say 90% of the time he does though.

It shouldn't take you 15 hits or whatever to kill a comparable level enemy. No idea what's up with that.

Every potion, oil and decoction can be upgraded. At the highest level oils give +50% damage.

There is a fukk ton of potions and decoctions in the game, but you're low level so I'm not sure what you expect. Food should be enough at level 4. You will get better shyt eventually though.

Also seek out Treasure Hunts ASAP. Some offer Witcher gear which is the best in the game for it's level.

I honestly do not understand the hate the minority of you have for this game...I am not an RPG fan, I gave up with Skyrim's story once I reached the first village about 20 minutes into the game and fallout has never peaked my interest outside of modding...

Witcher 3 though I loved every minute of it...I even started a second play through just to do side missions I missed...The controls are sluggish but the combat to me was enjoyable...It is well balanced, you can't button mash or use one skill...you won't survive just spamming igni like some in this thread stated unless you're playing on the easiest difficulty...If you're not playing on Death march or the difficulty below you can take your opinion of this game and :camby:

OP's struggles also make no fukking sense, I never heard of anyone having to hack at a nekker 15 times...You are clearly doing something wrong bruh...Either using the wrong sword (silver for monsters) or not using skill points/upgrading gear...

To each his own though...

Oh and another thing @Tommy Knocks

This isn't like most RPGs where you grind through a bunch of monsters and level up. Most of your EXP will be gained from quests and monster contracts.

Random monsters out in the wild give shyt for EXP. You can kill them for ingredients but you can avoid most of the stuff you see.

Are you repairing your weapon, find new weapons, you always get swords around your level if your doing Witcher contracts and just generally explore

Damn still didn't finish Witcher? Not that I even came close, but it sounded like you were so close to the end. :dead:

According to my homie that beat the game, when I told him where I'm at in the story, he said I'm maybe 2-4 hours from the end. I just haven't gotten around to booting the game up. I started to do so one day, but some bullshyt got in my way.

I am assuming he's not using potions or oils and is running around with a low grade weapon...

No other logical reason for his epic struggle with level 5 goons that he probably shouldn't even be wasting his time on if its not a mission...
