Witcher 3. After fallout 4 Im not understanding the hype.

The region you're in is the equivalent of Europe in the middle ages. There's a whole other region (Zerrikania) that has different races. You meet them in "Hearts Of Stone".

I honestly do not understand the hate the minority of you have for this game...I am not an RPG fan, I gave up with Skyrim's story once I reached the first village about 20 minutes into the game and fallout has never peaked my interest outside of modding...

Witcher 3 though I loved every minute of it...I even started a second play through just to do side missions I missed...The controls are sluggish but the combat to me was enjoyable...It is well balanced, you can't button mash or use one skill...you won't survive just spamming igni like some in this thread stated unless you're playing on the easiest difficulty...If you're not playing on Death march or the difficulty below you can take your opinion of this game and

OP's struggles also make no fukking sense, I never heard of anyone having to hack at a nekker 15 times...You are clearly doing something wrong bruh...Either using the wrong sword (silver for monsters) or not using skill points/upgrading gear...

thats what im saying. something is off. im a gamer, but it appears ive missed something somewhere along the line. I was supposed to look for baron's wife but i declinded, did I miss a power up there? it was the first mission I declined I just wanted to see what would happen, and he never asked me to find his wife again, so now i know you may not get the option again if you decline.

upgrading gear? you mean like the sword? I upgraded the armor, im using thunderbolt potion (which barely does a thing), I looked up the nekker weakness but im not really sure how to get the ingredients for the potion.

anyways i skipped walked around those fools and met up with the witch, but i did youtube what was up with them and apparently you should kill them and get some special ingredients from them....when i youtubed the fight, dude on youtube ran through them within 2 min. so yea, its my witcher thats weak, just not sure WHERE he's weak. I tried to buy a new sword and they're all 1 level anyways, I dont see anything that would do much damage outside of what I already have.

i guess i just gotta do side mission or something.

its a pretty game, the graphics make fallout look ps2, but the game play is

sometimes he pulls his sword out automatically and sometimes he doesnt, so you get into a fight and start swinging only to find out you're using your fists, and then my witcher is so weak, he gets hit like 3-4 times and his power bar goes down to 5% just like that.

Im pretty close to shelving this and playing MGS. fantasy and potions arent even my kinda thing, they got these card games that feel like im playing DD out here like a clown.

Witcher 3 doesn't do any of these things better than Fallout 4...

Witcher 3 is a game that did a promo talking about how they tackle real world issues like racism...and then every character in the game is white...

Fallout 4 is a game that gives you a choice of simulating the underground railroad...and then it actually lets you pick the race of the two most important people associated with those quest...and then it lets you choice what side of the story you want to be on...and even goes so far as to force you to kill the other side...

One of these things is good story telling...one of these things isn't...

And I am pretty sure Witcher 3 won game of the year because Fallout 4 hasn't even been out a full month yet...How could Fallout 4 even be nominated?

When did Witcher 3 even come out...in the spring?

The fact people are comparing a game that came out 6 months ago to a game that hasn't even been out 6 weeks speaks volumes about both of these games...

I was a Witcher stan all the way up until 3...I doubt I ever play another Witcher game again...

um, this isnt really fun, its taking 15 hits to kill a single nekker (there's 5) but they're killing me in just 4-5 hits. I dont wanna spend 20 min dodging and single hitting only to get that work once they surround me.

the fukk is going on here? when I watch tutorials Im seeing people slay them in 3 hits. I bought a new sword, but there's no area to buy a new silver sword (im assuming Im getting that work cause Ive had the same sword since level 1), all the stores show level 1 weapons.

I'm surprised people didn't notice that. But yeah it's an actual scene with Geralt in the game. Basically you're not supposed to romance Yen or Triss, but if you romance Ciri, you get this scene.
