You really thought being a direct influence over some of the biggest laughing stock, wack rappers of this past decade would sway me:mjlol:. Other than Migos all those nikkas suck ,and Migos flow is not Guccis and they are actually very talented.

Plus if you want to give credit for wackness,Jeezy opened the door for wack ass nikkas like Gucci Mane to even exist:gucci:. Jeezy has no direct influence?have you ever heard of trap music?do you not remember the wave of wack nikkas that became acceptable and the dumbing down of hiphop that was going on,in order to adjust to Jeezys wave becuase he was such a force?do you not realize the Atlanta rap scene has been thriving for a decade in part because of them? All you proved is Gucci had an influence over kids like Barney did, with the silliness and simplicity of his records, and child friendly "fun" subject matter and especially sound.

Labels was scouting wack nikkas on the strength of Jeezy,so all wack nikkas can thank him. Jeezy was actually pretty skilled and proved it in the end.

Jeezy didn't open the door for Gucci though. It is kind of the other way around. "Icey" was Gucci's song and that it was one of the songs that helped break Jeezy. Now Jeezy did in fact lap Gucci. Things just came full circle and now Gucci is bigger, but nowhere near the degree of the other three's peaks.

Jeezy was already bubbling before So Icey:comeon:. You would have to be a real casual hiphop listener for that to be your first introduction to Jeezy. And being that song wasnt that huge i wouldnt credit it for helping break Jeezy whatsoever. If anything Jeezy is what made the song a hit which is why he was entitled to that record.

To say it was the other way around is laugable.jeezy was the first wack rapper after the skill era who made it okay to be wack on purpose.Being wack and simplistic actually became a style. And it was heavily copied which proves my undisputable point.Jeezy made nikkas dumb down in order to shine like he was. nikkas rapping about dope in sing songy, kids bop fashion is 100% Jeezy in the modern era.

Jeezy was bubbling, but that was one of the first songs he was associated with to catch on with radio.

People who there won't need receipts,I do it for them:sas1:
Jeezy made being wack a style, and was the first to be taken seriously while being wack.
Just look at his cosigns, what I'm saying is obvious.
nikkas would have probably still been rapping like country bumpkin club promoters or Jermain Dupri if it wasn't for T.I and Jeezy who expanded. Atlanta nikkas were the fun party guys before T.I and Jeezy gave those ungrateful ATL nikkas trap and bought it to the forefront:martin:.

Stop replying to me,literally saying nothing:mjlol:

You have no real counter arguments or names you can drop to go against what I'm saying.

You have non-facts you ain’t even know Jeezy linkedwith Gucci and get in his wave because of the his black-tee song

That they were beefing with Gucci over “ so Icey” and that’s when Gucci went on a F def jam F jay-z and russel. When they tried to muscle him and black ball him.

If Jeezy was so high and mighty why would he start the Gucci beef ?

Gucci makes TRAP music and he still has more creative songs or lines then most these so called elite emcees ...

You and a lot of folks on this thread or stuck in that middle America has to buy my album and validate me steez.

When the streets at that time and still to a degree decides what’s hot.

Wop is only relevant because the artists he signed kept his name lit while he was locked up
No has checked for new Gucci since Mr. Davis dropped and his biggest song on that blew up in part due to a Migos feature

Extremely false. nikkas in the HOOD treat Gucci like they'd treat jesus, I know because I used to hate him simply because everybody else worshipped that nikka. Would go over my fammo house and he got some hood dvd of Gucci cooking dope with naked hoes and freestyling. Go on the bus to school and nikkas playing that fukking photoshoot song the fukk out. TI was making songs with Rihanna at that time and Ross hadn't dropped BMF yet and was rapping over soulful beats. The highschool teenager was not fukking with any of them. The most influential Midwest nikka in the last like 5 years is keef and he's a child of Gucci. You got young chop talmbout Gucci could come to Chicago and stop the violence :dead:

Your saying irrelevant facts that I already knew. You said that as if "black tee" was a mainstream success.
Jeezy opened the flood gates for wack nikkas after he blew just as I said.
You won't ever catch me saying nonsense like rappers need middle america validation.
But the streets outside of Atlanta didn't give a damn about Gucci or Black Tee.
Jeezy said he thought So Icey would be his record and it was stolen,Gucci didn't even pay Jeezy for his appearance.
If Gucci was hot in the streets of Atlanta, I think its obvious why Jeezy as a street nikka in Atlanta would care enough to diss Guc.

There would be no "trap music" without Jeezy so you proved the point. You don't even remember the fact that "trap music" became its own genre based on the negative perception of that style from many. It was practically a slur to be put in the category of trap rapper. Because you were being put in the group with guys who weren't trying to be good, know they aren't good, but were just trying to be as simplistic as possible in hopes they could be the next Jeezy. Who though he was loved, was heavily considered wack at the time. T.I was never put in the category with other "trap rappers" back in the day because he was respected as an emcee and musically by all.We all know Gucci isn't holding a candle to T.I as an emcee so I won't even acknowledge that. Doesn't matter whos lines you think Gucci's is better than,he ain't better than any of the people we talking about in here. And wasn't more influential or more impactful when they were their most infuential and impactful. And never managed to be bigger despite plenty of nice placements, and desperate commercial reaches, when they tried to force it.

ehh, this is too much of an 'in the moment' thread.

Gucci isn't doing anything spectacular right now. theres nothing that hes doing in this era that's gonna catapult him in all-time rankings.

but im not gonna sit here & downplay Gucci's past either. the problem with Gucci is he doesn't have a definitive piece of work. not to my knowledge at least.

objectively speaking:
1. jeezy
2. ross
3. TIP
4. Gucci
but if we're talking regionally, you can flip those guys around in any order. if youre not from the south or some other rural city, Gucci is likely to be a distant 4th tho.

Exactly,he has a cult following but to act like the streets was all playing Gucci is Gucci fans over exaggerating again.

The underwhelming sales should reflect that fact. Placements on Mariah Carey songs, features from Usher, and still:francis:

Stop trying to force this man into the convo with T.I and Jeezy,or Luda for that matter when speaking of success/impact just because they beefed. Ross too for that matter,he's in the same boat as Gucci.
