I actually agree with cornette on this subjext. Wrestling was better when people thought it was "realer". By that I mean, everyone knew something was up with wrestling that it wasnt 100 percent a shoot but people still were emotionally invested in it. I mean check wcw in the 90s people were jumping into the ring to fight heels and were throwing trash.
That level of wnotional investment is gone now. Now its jut a choreographed circus de solei act and people act accordingly. The business wouod beed a complete overhaul to go back to that but maybe it couod be done. Thats why ufc is so popular right now. Imaginr if ufc had managers n wrestling style promos. Im sure there ate fixed fights in ufc n mma in general ( shamrock vs kimbo wss blatant)
Hopefully trips n shane are smart enough to make that happen when vince goes down. Hopefully...

You only see that entitlement in the WWE's fanbase. People no longer watch wrestling anymore for reasons that have nothing to do with what current fans are saying. The people saying that "wrestling sucks" are making those comments among other wrestling fans who continue to watch just like they do.
ROH is doing the best it's ever done, obviously NXT isn't hurting them.

i don't like blaming the fans because they are a bi-product of the environment WWE has created.
but the smark neckbeard fags who hijack the shows and chant something every 5 minutes ARE ruining the show imo.
depends on the style of the promotion.
theres stuff that I appreciated more as a kid, especially as a mark like the WWF.
then theres stuff that I appreciated more later on when I became a smark kid like WCW. and stuff that I appreciate more now as an adult like the old NWA tapes, and I doubt I would be into ROH like that if I was a mark.
