This man knowsAnd the ice is to cool the pot off. After you boil the crawfish you need to let them soak for about 30 minutes to an hour. I usually go around 45ish. But if you don't cool the pot off the crawfish are actually still cooking and NOT soaking up the seasoning.They'll also get soggy this way. Like I said some people use ice I like to hose the outside of the pot off with cold water.
My folks be throwing eggs, turkey necks, smoked meat , and all other type of shyt in the crawfish pot lol
