It's crazy that you think MS a software company ultimate goal was to out sale playstation a hardware company in hardware and continue to do so every generation. It would have been nice bragging rights for them, but let's be honest the reason the OG xbox was even greenlit was to be a household name and competitor to playstation, and to do that it needed services. The 360 was profitable because of subs and digital sales definitely not hardware sales... and Immediately after the 360 we were going to get a console that was even more digitality dependent and service based.

It's not about 4D chess and clearly there were pivots and changes as any successful company should do. Playstation should have shown you that by now, with its belief in generations and exclusives instead you have console timed exclusives and cross platform gaming well into the middle of the generation

You've convinced yourself of this ridiculous narrative by creating a strawman that Playstation only sells because of exclusive games when people have said repeatedly that exclusives are a part of why many prefer playstation. It's not the SOLE reason. Just like exclusives alone didn't help the Wii U or Gamecube. It's a multitude of things but you know that, you just have to play dumb to save face lol.

lol like it's so simple. Even with me gaming on PC, PS5 is still valuable to me because certain experiences were only found there when it came out. At the time Spider-Man 2, Returnal, God of War Ragnarok, Ratchet and Clank, Miles Morales, Horizon Forbidden West, Demon' Souls, FFVII Rebirth, FFXVI, Astro Bot, Ghost of Yotei etc. came out, I couldn't play that anywhere else. There's still a few that I didn't even play(TLOU 1 remake, Stellar Blade, DS2, GT7).

There's not many examples of that on the Xbox side. Even if we counted day 1 games on PC, what really dropped on Xbox that's seeing PS5 titles?
Halo Infinite? Sea of Thieves? Hi-Fi Rush? Forza Horizon 5? Starfield? Grounded?

Xbox doesn't have Ghost of Yotei, God of War Ragnarok, Ratchet and Clank Rift Part, Spider-Man 2, Horizon Forbidden West, Returnal, Astro Bot, Demon's Souls, Miles Morales, Stellar Blade and more... You know, some of the GREATEST gaming experiences this gen.

Isn't it awfully convenient that almost every game I mentioned are the games you often try to concern troll and/or downplay as amazing games? You LITERALLY are a irl stan that can't even just enjoy a game.

I honestly don't get why you keep trying to make Xbox a thing, as if it's 2021 still. It's over breh. I was a big Dreamcast fan, I moved on. Gamecube/Nintendo was my favorite platform back in the 2000s. It's not anymore.

PlayStation started to put games on PC and other platforms and other platforms incentives started to outshine the one y'all created for PlayStation "I buy a console for its "exclusives"

And if it was about the whole package, that's what y'all would have said from the jump. Some how you back on Xbox. the funny thing you guys still haven't put together about me is it has never been the Xbox games or exclusives that made me a fan of the platform.

I've always gotten every platform ( blessed) so the console platform a great game is on has never mattered.
