Best care scenario is xbox pulls through by mid-gen and start dropping fire with all the studios they started or acquired. I’d be mad as hell if they bow out and give PlayStation complete market dominance since nintendo is living in their own world at this point.
Microsoft needs to be be competitive at some point in order for sony to step it up.

The only time xbox came close to beating sony was the 360 because sony came out a year later and the head start was too big
Halo will probably be the only big release for them next year, it's accepted xbsx not getting anything good until 2022
That's too big of a lead to sony by that time we will have ff16, horizon ratchet and gow sequels and multiple game award
And than gta will be a sony exclusive timed release, that's gonna be the nail in he coffin. Gonna have to cop the 5 to play the new gta..gonna be over
Now is actually the perfect time for someone like apple to come in and enter the game market cause it's over for Microsoft

I think PS is going to win the war in terms of installed user base...no question.
To me, it's like a football game. Is it gonna be 38-3 beat down or will Xbox score a few times to make it respectable at the end? They won't win but with the amount of $$$ Microsoft has, they need to at least close the gap and think long term. One more blowout this gen and they are done, no doubt.
Buying up all those studios makes no sense unless they crank out (exclusive) games.

I aint knocking gamepass, it has potential I'm actually not sleeping on it because if Gamepass takes off Sony will have no choice but to actually put some energy into PS Now, which I want them to do.
this past gen they, aka Phil Da Fraud, kept cappin talkin about the exclusives were coming...and nothin happened.
and they fumbled this launch again.

The naming of the console is what fukked up Microsoft in the first place.People say give Xbox time in the next 2 - 3 years they will be better. I say ok but that just gives time for Sony also to drop nothing but piff. Sony will stay consistently strong throughout this Gen. Bethesda isn’t strong enough to top Sony’s studios Sony stanning aside. Game pass is a really good incentive but not enough to take Console dominance over Sony. It’s going to be another W and slaughter again.

.I bought the Series X from Target just to see how the process was so I wouldn't slip up two days later when the PS5 dropped.........the thing that got me was how when searching for the Xbox.....a bunch of One X listing would pop up.
Even at the store, they'd have Series X games next to One X consoles. Parents will definitely fukk that up...grandparents even moreso.
PS5 is distinct from PS4....they look nothing alike. Series X vs One X is confusing for some folks.
It's the same issue Wii U had. I bought a Wii U and still enjoy it but A LOT of people thought it was just a moderate upgrade from the Wii....like PS4 vs PS4 Pro. They create the Switch and that shyt still sells like hotcakes.

for a while they had something with Ori and Cuphead but cuphead ended up coming to every other platform and ori ended up on switch. If you had a PC you also had no reason to own an xbox

yeah the unconventional naming def ended up screwing the Wii-U over. The marketing for it was also kind of confusing for the audience they were going for. It just seemed like a complete fumble to have this huge success with the wii and the gimmick of the wii-mote only to completely drop it for a touch pad remote that honestly, wasn't that great of idea to begin with.

Yep...this is exactly what I want. Enjoying GamePass but want Xbox to do just enough to nudge Sony.
Of course with all the games Sony has
.....if they had a GamePass....it might bury Microsoft even more since they have a much stronger library of potential games. Imagine paying a fee and being able to play GoT, Demon Souls, TLOU 2 etc. whenever you wanted.M$ better hope Sony doesn't go that route.
Gamespass is a sweet deal as a secondary reason to get an Xbox. It shouldn’t be your purported system seller. Thing is great when upgrading from an OG XB1, but damn, it’s literally an XB1 with a GPU/CPU upgrade
