I still rock with Brock. OL horrendous though, but that doesn't excuse some of the questionable decisions he makes. I just kind of feel like Niners fans handle him with kid gloves. Brock is better than Jimmy G, but damn I can't help but think back to how same niners fans used to cape for Jimmy G always pointing to his W-L record, calling him a top 10 QB, etc... I still think Brock is good, but I cringe when some of my fellow niner fans call him elite. Elite to me is Mahomes, Allen, Herbert, Lamar, Burrow.

With that said, Brock will get his bag. I suspect the niners will give themselves an out after year 2 or year 3 if he under performs. Then Kyle will be tasked with finding a QB which is a scary

No Niners fan is saying Brock is playing elite this season. Not even the biggest Brock homers.

Lions signed Jared Goff to a deal that made him the 2nd highest paid player in league history and they currently have the #2 rated offense in the league, so unless you think Goff is in an elite tier far above Purdy then I don't think this will be that much of a problem. Good drafting and offensive scheme is more important than going all in on high priced FA skill players.

Goff is better than Purdy.

Jennings had vertical leverage and Brock has layered that throw many times before when he wasn't getting hit as he threw the ball.

I would still pay Brock but it's going to me mostly incentive based and that's fine but the offensive line needs new starters at minimum at LG, C and RT
