Right. The conversation around Purdy is super weird because lots of these dudes are just mad because a guy like Purdy shouldn't be as good as he is. No one - not even any Purdy stan - is saying he's in the elite tier with Mahomes and Allen and Lamar. But he's playing historically well for a player drafted where he was, and had a great, MVP-caliber season last year. But because he's waxed certain fanbases they resort to hyperbole claiming people are advocating Purdy should be given the highest contract or Purdy an elite tier QB, just trying to cut him down to recover from their team being embarrassed by the Niners. Transparent and pathetic.

Nah this is too much nuance. Too much context. First Take told me that you're either a GOAT or a bum. If the team loses, it's the QBs fault. If they win, it's because of the QB. Purdy should either get paid Top 1 QB money or be cut tomorrow. Why yes, I do watch football exclusively through ESPN highlight reels.

All we are saying is the Brock Purdy isn't even close to the problem.
We have a coach who treats his players like used condoms after a trucker finishes with a lot lizard. What he did to Christian McCaffrey and Dre Greenlaw was disgraceful.
We have a GM and Coach who are too closely connected (this might change as there are rumors Lynch might not be in lock step this year)
We handed out extensions and contracts like candy to players who are all making business decisions.
Even if we do pay Purdy 60 million (we're not) it wouldn't really hurt us like that long term because a lot of those contracts expire after next season anyway.

it’s no beef. I got love for members of whiners nation like @Bryan Danielson and @dora_da_destroyer because I know it’s nothing but a stroke of fate that had us take different stan base paths in life. I can say as a member of Byrd gang nation, our sole focus is on the New York football giants this week. We have to lock in and prepare for this week just like any other.

As nothing but an observer from afar this is interesting and the drama in Santa Clara will definitely be worth keeping an eye on this off season.

Coli GM's don't seem to get it... The top 12-15 QBs is the league make obscene money and Purdy is in that group so he's likely going to get paid. There are so many shytty QBs that the good ones often get overpaid.

Whose gonna break the news to my guy that Hurts has perhaps the easiest QB situation in the league throwing to two elite WRs, playing behind an elite OL with an elite RB and still has 580 less passing yards than Purdy whose top WR is a 3rd stringer and is playing behind a bottom-tier OL with a 3rd and 4th string RB and only 1 other pro-bowl caliber player on offense? I hear you bro but these numbers are kinda inflated because the defense was non existent for the 1st half, dudes were wide open. When it came to the 2nd half like I said he threw 2 interceptions
