I agree with you're saying, but he does have a point with this thread. For over a year, all of the talk was about how the Heroes Act wouldn't be passed and how we needed $600 or no deal at all. Now since that they are/will be in control, you hear neither of those talking points being brought up again.

You can use the fact that they are fully in power yet as an excuse, but you hear other talking points brought up and plans except the ones that they are harped on for a year.

the heroes act did pass though :dwillhuh:

It didn't even make it to senate :dwillhuh:

Just because you have control of the senate doesn't mean you can pass anything:dwillhuh:

So why bring up the Heroes Act in the first place then if the basis of your excuse for not passing in the first place was that you didn't have the control to do so?

I'm not trying to troll, but I'm asking a serious question.

Hold up.

Has Joe Biden been sworn in yet?

Additionally, have ossof and warnock been sworn in as well?

In these goofies minds.

nothing is better than something. If rethugs had control nothing is getting through. Yeah no hazard pay sucks sure, but its too nebulous to connotate what that would entail anyway and a minimum 15 wage is good for the future.

And this is just the first bill. If this is all he does for the year sure yeah, you can complain but breh isn't even in office yet, is offering tangible good things for many and these backwards nikkas trolling online to save face that their both side bullshyt is just that.

Oh no I'm not trying to argue at all.

My point being is that people will cape and defend a politician for overpromising and not delivering on their word, but will ruin a family or friend when they do the same.
All politicians overpromise and under deliver no denying that but we have a lot of posters that have smoke for democrats and not Republicans and after what we just saw this last year is insane to me. I have problems with dems though I believe they aren't progressive enough that's just me.

Because people are looking at the bigger picture of OP point. Politics in general refers to overpromising and not delivering on your talking points. Whether that being they were unrealistic in the first place or knowing that you couldn't fully deliver on them. So why do politicians get a pass on those things from people, but those same people will break up a family or friend if they make a promise and don't fully deliver on theirs?
