I can't say I ever had my any of my food go bad in the freezer.
It doesn't happen often unless it goes for years in your freezer. Basic zip lock bags will do the trick if you just remove as much air as possible.

You can get a small freezer from home depot wal mart lowes.... I have a small one from Walmart. I've had it for years and if it breaks I'll go buy another one for less then 150. I have enough food to last me at least a year. Most bulk meat comes vacuum sealed already.

a vacuum sealer. I bought mines off amazon for less than $25. also u gotta get bags as well. but the savings are immense and add up super quick. and if u got a deep freezer (I do not unfortunately) :ohlawd:

I bought this about a year ago, and since I buy pretty much all my meat/fish/chicken at sam's or costco, I seal them up individually after seasoning them when I buy it and then put them in individual shrink wrap bags.

not only does this keep the food fresh indefinitely, but it taste 1000% better if u don't eat your food immmediately.

I also use this for other foods like cheese especially since I grate all my own cheese by hand. shyt essentially never spoils. this also is clutch for bacon. I open the package, take a few pieces out and seal it.

u can also use it on bags of chips or tortillas. say I eat some tortillas, I just reseal the original bag with the machine. game changing :noah:

I also made some crab cakes from scratch 2 weeks ago. just put the mix in bag, and I can unthaw and make crab cakes on demand :whew:
I knew it was this just off the title.
I got the same one you do.

I don't save money on food. I save space. Individually sealing up steaks and chicken saves hella space in my fridge, freezer and deep freeze.

When your fridge and freezer ain't packed to the gills, it works better.

I buy just what I need for about a week and a half 2 weeks and keep it moving.

I keep saying I want to get a sous vide especially for meal prep. But I can't get over cooking in plastic
Cooking is an overstatement.

The water doesn't even boil.

You get as much chemical exposure having a steak sit in a ziplock bag as you do having it sit in a ziplock bag in warm water.

Sous vide is ok. I do it every couple of months. You ain't missing anything.

So what do you have in the freezer that's attached to your refrigerator?
It's filled with food I'm actively eating. The landlord gave us tiny fridges with tiny freezers. There isn't enough space to have stuff in cold storage. I have enough space in it for 2-3 weeks between Costco runs. The 2 Costco organic broccoli bags I usually keep take up about half the freezer space alone.

Usually around 6 months. I stock up mostly for tailgate season. We feed big crowds during Fresno State games.

We also feed our dog actual meat. My wife cooks him healthy meals so if anything gets missed and has been in to long we cook it up for him.
