But it hasn't been one game though..

The Spurs are 6-0 when he starts....

Averaging 11/3/3 as a starter...

55% from the field as a starter...

+14 as a starter...

A one game and six game sample are not distinguishable nor are his numbers eye popping for someone his age to where he projects as anything more than a starter.

I don't want patty to go, trade LMA and Green and hope Parker retires.

Patty is a specialty player...the team is changing and he will cost too much to be a 3rd string guard...

I dont know if its other bases who are like this but the spurs base in general tend to want the 2014 team to be forever...its impossible...

Spurs fans still wanted diaw to stay after he started caring more about his coffee than basketball...

I love patty but its time to build around kawhi

Well he is a rookie getting his first extended stint of PT, he gonna have his ups and downs. The issue us Spurs fans have with Parker is that he still has hero ball tendencies and that had KILLED us the last few post seasons. That time for him has passed but he hasnt accepted it. Our title hopes doesnt rest on Murray or TP, but the more Murray plays extended minutes, the better the Spurs overall will be in the long term this year.

He sucks defensively
Cant penetrate like he use to
Mid range game is kinda :flabbynsick: now

I'm not DISAGREEING with you, i just prefer us to slowly phase TP out.

That hero bullshyt still pisses me off he does it still
I'm coo when he attacks the lane and kicks it out or attempts to score when it's there but this dude will go enrique I'll Be Your Hero and freeze out kawhi when he is hot or when he himself is cold and not pass it too kawhi or anybody just to try to prove something which
1. Idgaf
2. U have already done that just chill we need ur leadership and passing
3. Attack and score when it's there

How is it possible he has some games he attempted more fgs or close to same amount as kawhi IN LESS DAMN MINS

It's y I love manu he may fukk up but he always tries to get others involved always even if it's a turnover at least he tries

How manu older and his game still being more effective than Parker
Same as Duncan

Parker straight be lying saying he wants to get others involved and does opposite more often than not

But when he does it dramatically helps us

But Patty is a great complement to Kawhi. Jumper stays wet, maybe not as fast as TP in his prime, but still fast enough to get into the lane for a drive and kick. He also is a heady defender (draws multiple charges a game). He's also the only player other than Kawhi that I trust to knock down two FTs in the closing minutes (Tony has never been that guy, and Manu's FT shooting has fallen off a cliff). Tony's earned the right to retire as a Spur, but he's not aging well. They need more than Murray at the PG spot...hope there's some way to keep Patty or at least get a competent backup PG in free agency.

I think at the age of 29 at the start of next year, Patty Mills gonna cash out.

I have learned to live with his green light but unless he willing to be Jamal Crawford, our scoring punch off the bench who does play starter minutes, gonna be hard to keep em :mjcry:

Ima :mjcry: when Patty leaves just like i was when we dealt GOATlik Rose :to:

Where would we find minutes for patty to justify him at the price tag he'll command

Manu allowed patty to play off ball...Its a lil too late to ask him to be a point guard...

Any perimeter player who has a quick 1st step like Murray can draw a double team potentially..

We do need another guard, prolly a vet who is ok with limited minutes

That's where Pop has to think future and ask Tony to fall back a bit. I also wonder how Pop feels about Simmons (also a FA) and if he'd consider moving Green to keep Simmons. There's def. going to be some tough decisions to be made next offseason. Manu will open up $14 million in relief if he retires. Guess we'll see what happens.

There are no tough decisions...

Resign Simmons...spurs didn't put all that work into him to just let him walk

Resign Demond...won't be to hard since every team has big men they are trying to get rid of...

That should be the whole off season...

Tony Parker's hero ball will get replaced by Murray's once he gets comfortable, check the film of him at Washington.

he was the best scoring threat as PG on a team with no other threats off the dribble, no different then Fultz now. (Andrew Andrews could not consistently get in the paint)
He has good people around him, once he adds some strength he will be an offensive threat to score 20 per night. His decision making with the ball in his hands now vs at UW is like night and day

The difference is that Fultz has the skills to justify it. Murray was putting up 3.5 3 pointers a game while only shooting 29%.

Fultz is putting up 4.5 a game and knocking down over 40% of them. Fultz is more efficient all around as well, he still turns the ball over a little much but that's expected.

Markelle is still putting up over 6 assists a game too, imagine if he had Chriss down low.

No knock on Murray though, he's definitely looking better but I do agree that 6 games is too small a sample size for me right now.

If Pop likes him, that's good enough for me.
