the offense is more the run game and short throws than anything else. if they can shut it down, then sure. there will be terrible games inevitably where alex does what hes not supposed to and make turnovers, which really would be bad.
but at the end of the day its all about their D. theyre the unit that has been winning games. they'll live and die with D

trent dilfer and brad johnson had ALL TIME GREAT DEFENSES, the chiefs have a good D and we will be able to better gauge them after going against Seyton twice, Philly twice, and RG3.

Grossgawd did get to a SB, but had to play in the rain against Seyton and the bears D wasn't expecting Indy to run the ball like they did.

Folk are taking the statement way too literally. Of course it's possible to win a SB with an Alex Smith type QB....it's just extremely difficult and damn near impossible. Everything has to line up perfectly.

Can Alex Smith win a SB? Sure. So can Christian Ponder. A SB can be won with any starter in the league. It's just not likely for the majority of them.

I honestly cant wait till the den/kc game...want to see this pass rush go against one of the best pass pro lines in the business as well as one of the best qbs in the business, being underdog status

I can actually see peyton throwing a TON of short quick passes to combat that rush off the edge. the game will be either won or lost by how kc defends the middle with LBs and nickel package
