Nothing legendary about them but they were a dope little crew. Phonte can beast at times and their producer is HIGHLY underrated, IMO
I still cant categorize them as quite "Southern", tho. ButI dont know
I liked the Listening for a debut album. Minstrel Show was dope. Unfortunately around 2005-2010 was the period which i started losing interest in rap and R&B and eventually went back to almost strictly listening to caribbean and african music so i didnt get to check out their next couple of projects. I saw Big Pooh perform live at De La Soul's 25th anniversary tour tho. Seems like homie ate himself into oblivion.
There are a few rap artists i still follow (dead prez, The Roots, etc) but I honestly have very little interest these days.

you listen for the things you you listen for. To Me LB removed all the Fronting and theatrics from there music, were two relatable dudes that consistently gave you dope rhymes over flawless production and they rank higher to me than most of the groups you named. Wu for example was monumental but i dont even listen to any of their group work like that.
run DMC, Wu, bone dont have an album better than Menstral show but PE is on my list i didnt mean to omit them

Not even close. And that's not a dig at Slum Village, but LB is a different animal....shoutout to Murs, Elzhi, Skyzoo, and Khrysis while we're at it.
