OP I agree... I was born 1990 so I spent those years exploring early 90's music which I missed in real time :troll:

Where did I downplay 50? I told the truth about him. By 2009, 50 wasn't that teflon Superman he was years prior. Curtis sucked outside of a couple songs, as did BISD, and he basically lost that sales battle between him and Kanye, which honestly changed the course of music history. TOS was garbage too. War Angel was his last quality project, but since BISD, the Power theme has been his best song.

People shyt on Weezy now because of how far he's fallen but being born in '91 I remember full well riding around to mixtape Weezy mixtape Gucci, initially preferring Jeezy over Gucci and feeling like I had to pick a side until Mr. Perfect dropped along with the Gangsta Grillz movies, Plies making songs so sexually charged I felt ready to finally lose my virginity, I mean the list goes on. Mainstream hip-hop was surely the worst it's ever been and that's what made me stop listening to the radio. Young nikka was outchea burning CDs off Bearshare n shyt

Even deaf bytches say hi to me, she tell a blind bytch n she say I gotta see :gladbron:

I really thought Juelz went off but when I heard Wayne first line "I POP UP IN THE MIDDLE OF A HOT BLOCK MAKE DA DROPTOP PLAY HOPSCOTCH ON EM HOES" bruh to this day that's my favorite Wayne verse, and top 10 of all time verses. It was just too fukkin raw mane "Lil Wayne, right from Kim's corner store, CHOPPER WAKE A nikka ASS UP LIKE THE MORNING SHOW" :ooh:

This nikka here :mjlol: he's not exactly helping my argument but he did have some cool ass songs to ride to. And like I said he had songs to get you ready to cut

I could argue down and go song for song with anybody shyttin on MY ERA cuz I really lived through this shyt. I didn't need the radio to tell me what to like.. but I'ma close my argument with this one right here

did u only listen to singles or something

No, I remember the Sqad Up tapes and I remember when he used to not even use profanity in his raps. He was always overrated except for the people that came of age during this garbage era. He easily impressed all those 12 year olds with his metaphors about eating coochie and using the bathroom.
