Depends on the location. In Baltimore, I choose the county.

In dc, I choose the city.

But as a family man, I prefer the burbs/county for them but they don't because I leave them there and spend a majority of my time in the city. Lol

I love the city. Even more one where I can walk almost everywhere, which is unfortunate because I live in Houston. Either way I love the city.

I'm city based, but I'd choose a suburb near the city. I live in a location where the burbs aren't all that far, so you'd have the best of both worlds if you get what you need to get from the city then retreat away from all the madness.
