i remember a time when ppl thought willy hermagomez was untradeable and our center of the future:mjlol:

sometimes you gotta cut your losses

last chance for knox, dennis smith, and frank. not askin you be world beaters, but its time tomake significant progress and its time to play with consistent energy.

no more fukkin excuses

Yall love to exaggerate. The Willy complaint was that if the Knicks were gonna lose anyway, they might as well play him and if not, they shoulda traded him before they tanked his all-rookie buzz.

The bold is all anyone asks for. Yall tend to buzzkill anyone that isn't on an allstar trajectory. Mitch is in the doghouse without us seeing him play a minute of basketball since he broke the single season FG% record. It's like there's no in between. Either we got a superstar or it's "fukk them kids" like the MJ meme.

Heads can't debate whether Mitch and 8 is a better value than 3 without it turning into Mitch = dime a dozen Robert Williams.

nah lol
after his rookie season, people in here saying him and kp were the future frontcourt.
then he came into the following season out of shape and was put in the dog house.

mitch is a good player. i ddin't include him in my last chance list.

But lookin at him objectively, there's a ceiling on his game. there's several versions of him in the league right now. whether his shooting percentage is 72 or 62, it doesnt really matter.

because of that, he can be traded if the right opportunity presents itself

Fam, I'm in the exact same boat on Mitch. My take on trading him for 3 was that I didn't have the same faith in LaMelo, but if Rose did I'd trust it...and complain later if it was a whiff :mjlol:.

But heads turn on a youngster fast in these damned threads. You can feel the tide turning on Mitch and he hasn't even played bad. Kid's a couple of bad preseason games away from:

Word!

I think for the older Knicks fans who are the same way, it’s the Mike Sweetney/Jordan Hill etc Trauma from having high draft picks that basically were bust for us....So now when a lottery pick doesn’t come out with a bang, the patience level isn’t there.

Frank and Knox were labeled projects...Those other picks were College made players who were expected to come in and contribute right away.

Knox and Frank are going to be good. Consistency is needed for young players. That’s THEE thing the Knicks have lacked.

At one point they literally tried to play Frank at SF

They had Moe Harkless playing over Knox

:mindblown: Who does these things to their project Lottery picks
Pistons made Killian the starter before training camp even started.
Bad franchises tend not to get the best out of their picks... We had the third best player in the draft last year and we couldn’t put him in a situation to even make second team all rookie... but we want to pick apart our 20 year olds for not looking like the 20 year olds in good organizations.

Dude sounds like he's encouraging Smith to go get that starting role :ohhh:. I'ma be upset if Smith comes out looking like last year, at least gimme Mavs DSJ and we have an upgrade.

The work ethic! Fam...A Brooks style approach sounds good actually, when was he brought in again?
