They will be a playoff team that’s all that matter.
Spending all that money for the 8 seed is silly. Capitulating to Trae Young, who is a relative nobody in the league is even sillier. But it’s not the Knicks so it’s savvy and applaudable.

They will be higher than an 8 seed and Trae Young isn’t a relative nobody.

I was actually optimistic last year I’m not doing that shyt again :lolbron:

Yeah, they got paid what the market and their production dictates. U think Bertans a 6’10 dude capable of running off screens that shot 43% from 3 on 9 attempts isn’t gonna get a bag? Gallo was a 19/5/2 player last season, 41% from 3 on 7 attempts. U have to pay for god damn near 20 point scorers.

Y’all don’t want to pay for good players same nikkas telling me FVV ain’t worth $20M y’all afraid to pay good players so scarred from the past and p*ssy

Also dude last year we gave Julius Randle the bag. Randle has always been a low I.Q. bully balling empty stats player. He’s not a defender, he’s not a shooter, he’s not a good playmaker. Completely different than giving lights out shooters money.

For the sake of R.J., Toppin, Robinson, Quickley we needed a veteran PG and shooters and we needed Randle’s ass traded.

We weren’t even close to signing any of those players and saw the Suns trade for CP3 in what I thought was a mediocre package. Ricky Rubio, Ty Jerome, Jalen Lecque, a 2022 protected pick??
Idk you're rambling about here. I asked you what the Knicks could've done to get an A and all you did was tell me they should've overpaid for players who wouldn't have made a difference without a PG the Knicks either couldn't afford to pay or never was going to get
:what:

Some of y'all need to stop playing 2K. Knicks shouldn't be overpaying for ANYONE if they can't find a starting PG. Anything else would've been retarded...point blank period.

Knicks get a B for not overreacting because you dudes are gonna cry no matter what they do

U nikkas suck at building a team Jesus Christ

The team will never improve with y’all logic y’all scared to pay players market value and won’t add talent because it won’t make a difference

Nikka adding top flight shooting to the leagues worst shooting team whose most talented players are slashing bully ballers, a pass first non floor spacing PG, and a rim runner makes a big difference

:deadrose:

Bucks
Raptors
Celtics
Heat
Sixers
Nets
Pacers
Magic

Hawks ceiling is 7th seed and I don't think they're finishing there
Can easily see them ahead of Orlando and even the Pacers

And you do realize Trae Young is 22 years old right? There’s nothing wrong with him losing in the first round or being a lower seed nikka it’s playoff experience. It’s winning more games than you lose in a season. It’s playing competitive basketball.

U think this is a championship or bust season or some shyt :laff:

This is how you build a foundation they’ve built a deep team.

The hawks have a player (trae ) and other young pieces that it was worth it to make those moves but sadly we don’t know exactly what we have do to how we handled last year with RJ And Mitch

Y’all are bugging the hawks did great this off-season :yeshrug:

Trae is a star, you have to swing for the playoffs sooner rather than later.

they’ll be better than the pacers and magic for sure unless Oladipo goes back to all star form :manny:

I don’t agree. Unlike the Knicks, the Hawks actually had a solid young core and they blocked them with their signings. Trae should have been good enough to be the bridge for that team to develop and win. Signing 3rd tier vets that will block playing time from their promising young core is short sighted as fukk to capitulate to a player who isn’t ready enough to compete on his own. If Trae young was as good as they all say he is, that should be enough to make the playoffs in the east. Paying all that money for the 7th seed at best is mismanagement.

:dwillhuh:

Who are you talking about? The Hawks should not make moves in order to placate Cam Reddish’s low motor, sub-40% shooting ass?

No, that team should not be in the playoffs. They were like us among the worst shooting teams in the league last season and among the worst defensive teams and among the youngest and least experienced. Also had no back up PG’s or secondary ball handlers. All these weaknesses were shored up with Dunn, Rondo, Gallo, Bogdanovic, Snell.

No you aren’t looking at it right I’m sure they see it as , no one they signed should be taking anything away from Trae but they should give him enough support and lighten his load enough to Let him focus on doign him
