he may be passing out the kool aid, but who manufactured the supply and put it in the grocery store for him to buy? all he did was mix sugar and water.
I agree. That was my whole illustration. The problem undoubtedly stems from the top. The higher degree of culpability is at the top. But does that mean I shouldn't want the supply cut off at the bottom?

Yeah
We should also be :stylin:that Bobby SchMURDA is a 1-hit wonder. Now we need the ending to Young Thug's career to happen soon. If u dont know why then u are really blind to what the powers that be are doing to the black community thru destructive poisonous rap. And no, im not saying they are the CAUSE of our problems so dont come in here with that.:camby: As a black man you should celebrate the downfall of every puppet rapper being used to numb the black youth's minds
:blessed: meek mill too breh :ahh:

you can't control what another person does. you don't have control over the supply. that's my point. until we have control over the supply and manufacturing, there's no point in faulting the workers who are just trying to tell their story and find a way out.

I can agree with that. They will always "make another Hov" so to speak. But it would be nice if the factory workers had some elders or influential people in their lives who could convince them to go on strike and pursue an alternate path. Wishful thinking I know.

definitely some cointelpro type tactics going with the music just look at how hip hop was before compared to now, acts with positive messages (kendrick, cole and etc) are starting to eat again though..@bigrodthe1 had a dope thread on similar topics that got kind of slept on :snoop:

From The Westside With Love
Now see I don't agree with Eddie Long. His lifestyle is not in accordance with the texts i.e. Matthew 6:24, Luke 12:33. The actual message is to love thy brother as thy love thyself. That is supposed to be the most important Commandment. And, there are many scriptures speaking against the amassment of wealth instead of a life dedicated toward positivity (it's harder for a rich man to get into heaven than a camel through the eye of a needle) (don't even ask me how)

The Real Rick Ross damaged the community. But the fake Rick Ross also damages the community by misguiding youth with music that encourages a criminal lifestyle.

I don't think people in bad positions need gangsta rap to push them into a criminal lifestyle but, some of this music is certainly functioning as the soundtrack to that lifestyle. Also I'm not just talking about hood kids. Look at college basketball scholarship dude that just went in with El Dorado Red. Kids with opportunities are throwing them away cause some CO is telling them to sell dope on their iPhone.

Music that encourages a criminal lifestyle? :heh:

what exactly is music that encourages a criminal lifestyle? ask yourself, what type of music do criminals listen to?

and no, kids with opportunities are pissing them away, cause they're stupid as fukk at being criminals....not cause Rick Ross makes songs they like....it's the convenient excuse they've been using for the last 25 years.

@JamesCannon i got this one. Yall are totally ignorant to how big a role music plays to the subconcious. How dense can u be to not realize that the music encourages nothing but negativity and hatred. Its a fuel added to the fire of impressionable minds. Minds that are not being taught right from wrong by a positive influence. These rappers ARE father figures to alotta these young kids. I worked in a youth detention center before and i know firsthand the influence negative rap has on the mind. Music PERIOD has a "spirit" and the constant drilling of hatred, materialism, violence and promiscuity does have a subconcious affect on a persons mind and soul. Yall keep saying the same shyt, that rap isnt the root cause of the problems. Wel no shyt. I said that in the OP. But u have to be a complete idiot or stil young to not see that its fuel added to the fire. @CrimsonTider what the hell u talkn bout?:what:

This. @MegaTronBomb! @CrimsonTider how does the "spirit" of this song make yall feel inside?
Just think if "positive" or "building" music was a major genre. I could see it happening coinciding with financial revolution in terms of addressing the gap between rich or poor, basically if we had life hack music. I would love to hear that. But everytime somebody new supposedly hot come out its like I start the stopwatch to see how long it takes for the first drug reference.
