No disrespect, but, I'm tired of black people doing business like this.

Crowdfunding has it's limits and black folk are undergirding their entire business with it and it's not a great idea.

If black folk can't get business loans, then, we've got an issue we need to address.

It wastes everyone's time and money when you donate, can't donate anymore and the project stops.

I hope they can turn it around.

125k for an anime? :mjlol:

125k for starting the project lol. Breh must have had his 3 months paid vacation time factored into that

Well he would need it to pay his staff I’m assuming. If he didn’t need it then why do a kickstarter project? Correct me if I’m wrong but if he had money wouldn’t you ask for less, to try and pass the goal. I get market validation but 125k?

Animation is very costly.
@Blacksands speak on it.

Man things like this really get under my skin cause while I do appreciate the talent and work ethic:whoa:
I don't want superman or goku in fukk'n black face :mindblown: The only person who did it right so far is aaron mcgruder with boondocks.:whew:

Generic Examples:
Don't give me european classical music .....but with black people playing the instruments :scust:
Give me jazz music by takeing from your heratige to build a fundamental base that reflects the state & thrust of that heratige then take what tools you can from others and build on that foundation.

This show looks like someone said "I love dragonball Z" :ooh: ...what if the characters were black :krs: ......:scust:

These below is more in line with the direction I want to see

I agree. Folks forget that Anime (From Japan anyway) has MILLIONS of Japanese culture references and is primary made from THEIR mindset.

From the music, to the jokes that are told. Ironically, a lot of is European influenced but :mjpls:

It makes me realize that we were never given the opportunity to build and nurture our own culture the same way other "races" were able to do.

You are spot on when you bring up The Boondocks. It was done in a Ear East style (animation and art style) but was definitely written by one of us.

Johnny O'Bryant owns Noir Caesar, he's a fringe NBA player right now. He's made the minimum for the last 3 years - this is the last year of his contract.

They needed more money than that.

That shyt probably a quarter million.

Should've made it a manga, garnered interest and then got a production studio in Korea to draw that shyt, and an animation studio to oversea the project...like every single other anime does.

And yall need to stop blaming Black people and talking about "supporting" by giving away our money for artistic pursuits. I gotta survive outchea, I ain't just giving my money away for nothing in return.

edit nvm
