A dude I know and the starting QB on my hs football team went crazy. Got locked up for jacking off in apartment complex pool areas. Think the coke and weed made him lose it. He lives at home with his mother now and needs constant care. Full disability.

I think the problem is this genetic engineering of weed. It was never meant to be as strong as it is today. Its turned into something unnatural.
Meshed with the culture, youd get laughed at and rediculed for smoking reggie or even mids. I smoked with a breh once that had some piff straight from Cali, :merchant: i never smoked weed so potent, i never liked being that high, i couldnt function, i was deeeep in my mind it was a half step lower than psychadelics. When I smoked I kept it to reggie or mid. Loud aint my steelo:manny:
good point, dudes always trying to make it stronger and stronger because their tolerance is so high.

deep in my mind is a bit of a understatement :snoop:

In the south!
I used to work on a psych unit. I saw people from high school, college students I was in class with, peoples parents... I would read the charts. You really never know what it takes to make a person break. Some people have been thru HELL in life and just get overwhelmed. I remmeber reading one ladies chart thinking if I were her, I wouldve offed myself at 16. Some people you read the chart and look at like :lolbron:and :comeon:.

And psychotic breaks come from nowhere but the saddest ones that seem to be the most poorly controlled cases came from drug use. One chick was in my lab class, decided to whip up some home made drugs. She LOST it. She was getting beat up on the psych unit for slapping random people but she couldnt feel it. She would just walk up to someone, slap them and then get pummeled and laughed the whole time. I still remember her name SMMFH She came back to school th enext semester but she was

What makes people go over the edge is stress to the brain, and lack of nutrients for the brain to heal itself. When you are constantly thinking(which is why schizophrenia is associsted with people who went to college or more) or smoking herb, you are losing neurotransmitters to get your brain going. This is why you see a lot of people with mental illness always smoking cigarrettes, they are trying to give their brain what it doesnt have and the case of tobacco, its niacin. Nicotine when it oxidizes turns to niacin. When they smoke their brains metabolism is increased and makes use of the nicotine. It has been shown since the 60's that low niacin is a major indicator of mental illness.

For people who say weed is bad, and the cause of problem, what about all the people it helps?. You just ignore them because of others who abuse it, eatma horrible diet, and create problems for themselves?. Don't get me wrong, I feel it should be used properly but, this is the world and people don't like to think, be patient, and have self control, but that shouldn't put a negative on such a powerful plant like cannabis.

its gives you alot more respect for mental health...it can literally happen to any of us given the right circumstances...some peoples stories are worst than shyt they would show on a dramatized movie

thats interesting ive never heard that becore, def gonna look into that aspect because literally 80-90 percent of people i see in the hospital are smokers and will go to extreme lengths to smuggle a cig into the hospitall

@qwicknezz Do a google search for "niacin and schizophrenia" and you will find a lot info. Dr.Albert Hoffa was the one who discovered this. He has a book on how niacin help with mental issues.

My theory on brain metabolism is what I add to the subject. I think if niacin was taken right before, and right after doing some cardio exercise, it would help significantly with mental issues while needing less niacin then what is used for mental illness because cardio increases brain metabolism much better and longer then resistance training. Just 10-15 minutes is enough to really get it going. I think protein powder, and some type of sugar should be taken with the niacin so more neurotransmitters would be made, and keep the brain in a better balance. The sugar is to keep the liver glycogen full, as this also helps keeping the brain in proper health. Fruit juice or honey should be used as they are balanced in fructose and glucose so imbalance wont happen.

Very interesting, thanks for the info... i did a quick search and it seems like alot of people find niacin to be highly effective with schizophrenia...

this should def be tried more often, since the side effects of antipsychotics are horrible... possibly life shortening and often deter patients from complying with treatment long term

you ever work in the field?

@qwicknezz No, I don't work in the field but, mental illness hits close to home for me,so I always wanted to know what was happening. Plus, I love to learn how to keep myself healthy so I try to learn as much as I can about anything that can go wrong with the human body, whether physically or mentally.
