But you know damn well that the kid could play but there's no room in the NFL for sub 6' QBs because GMs are obsessed with the prototypical measurables. Anyone watching him at NC State or Wisconsin could see the kid could play.
The league didn't know "damn well."

"Know damn well" qbs convince teams to draft them in the first round. Don't use my acumen to determine what the league thought of him when youre speaking FOR the league when saying they knew he'd be good yet drafted him in the 3rd rd. :childplease:

These are intentiinally obtuse points you're making

See above post. QBs under 6' don't get drafted in the first round. Period.

Does anyone else think brandon Marshalls hip might be bothering him more than we know?

Something seemed off today about how little he was involved in the offense.

No. The Bengals bracketed him all game long, doubling him.

Not when you're under 6 feet and there's 60 years of data to support this.
You continue to post proof that they didn't know.

They had 60 years of their own proof proving he would likely not be good. Yet you claim THEY did know he would be good, you choosing now to ignee the 60 years of data you brought up as.proof as to why they questioned him. :krs:

You're not making any sense

I wouldn't doubt it, but I doubt we'll ever know. Dude is a warrior out there, in every sense of the word.

Yeah in all in on drafting a qb every year till you get one. Hackenberg pick was puzzling as shyt though. Seemed like an ego pick by the front office
Here's the inherent problem with the idea of drafting a QB every year: There was nothing Petty could do to prevent the team from wanting another QB. There is nothing Hackenberg can do to prevent the team from drafting one next year, and there's nothing that QB can do in a year to prevent the team from drafting another QB. If you draft known projects, it's gonna take longer to see if they even have a chance, so the team is doubling up on options, which in turn is spending assets they could be using elsewhere on a player they're gonna wanna replace in a year. That's a gross misappropriation of assets and it tells the guys you're picking you "we kinda like you but we don't really like you." They burned, a 4, a 2 and maybe a 2 next year for 3 QB's who will never see the field. They coulda did by signing 3 UDFA's off the street and gotten the same results.

I know it's not the Jets' job to live in reality, but reality is gonna slap them in the face before the season's over. Any time a coach or whoever says "he gives us the best chance to win" you're not winning.

It's not a missapropriation of assets. The qb is by far the biggest asset in the nfl and without one you're not going anywhere. So you keep trying until you get one

If you keep drafting projects while not playing them by stalling the process with a journeyman vet then how is that helping? Hack was going through practices getting 3-5 reps.
