to be real honest with you brehs, If I'm making a starting five out of the 1996 draft, iverson is coming off the bench, even if you move kobe to the 3 (he's better than ray ray but I'd rather have ray starting).

If T-mac wouldn't have had a bad back or messed his knee up he would still be balling at a high level and putting up numbers. Nothing about him was overrated overhyped. A healthy in his prime T-mac was one of the purest scorers ever and his only real flaw was never getting a team out of the first round. But at the same time he was playing against some pretty good teams back then too. It was just the 2008 season when he was getting legit MVP consideration so it hasn't been that long since he was considered a top tier player. And Iverson has his faults and was shot happy but he was still a great scorer who had more heart than most.

I think Paul Pierce in 05-06 was better than T-Mac ever was. 26.8 on 18 shots per game. Lead the league in points per shot on some LeBron James shyt. :wow:

Pierce never had a season where he took anywhere near the FGA T-Mac and Iverson took in their primes. You guys are blinded by these dudes who take a million shots. :manny:

The celtics were ass and he couldnt carry them to the playoffs because he wasnt a prime tmac or kobe

Tmac was better than pierce at everything besides shooting the 3 ball. No argument homie

I think being that good of scorers should be able to get out of the first round.

Mac had the edge in 03 playoffs, 05, and in 07 and he let it slipped like that.

I hate y'all.

How a 5'10-11 160lb man can consistently put up the numbers he did can be overrated is beyond me. If anything I think because of how the team was set up y'all overlook a lot of his other skills like how good of a passer he actually was. But I feel like I'm wasting space cause AI gets crazy hate on here for a first ballot HOF.

Then u got TMAC who in his prime is as good as anyone you can name today. 6'10-11 great range, good defender, athletic, just damn near everything. Like if you put prime TMAC in the game right now no injuries he's top 5. Imagine if he did the Bron shyt and joined with Kobe or Pierce and a pretty good PF. It's sad how the injuries hurt him career wise he really should be one of the GOATs

tmac was all nba 7 times, pierce been all nba 4 times

how did t-mac have a "hot 3-4 years"?

how does tmac have more accolades than pierce even though he had significantly less healthy seasons
Paul Pierce Is Older than Mcgrady if mcgrady was truly better than pierce he still would be. ya'll can get away with bullshyt argument when comparing players from two different era but these nikkas played during the same time.

A T-Mac lead Team never did anything in the playoffs, so what the fukk are you talking about? By your logic Pierce was way better than T-Mac because he lead two pre big-3 Celtics teams pass the first round. Pierce took a Celtics team within two games of the finals. fukk outta here breh. Don't compare Kobe to T-Mac either. :camby:

At age 34 Pierce was still an all-star in this league.. T-Mac was in China and then on the Spurs bench. :pachaha:

This is why I laugh at this comparison. T-Mac was all athleticism, so once his body broke down he was useless. Pierce on the other hand is one of the most skillful players to ever play this game.

:camby: @ the thought of Pierce being the 12th man on a team a age 34.

Having teammates who show up is a big part of advancing in the playoffs too. Not saying that Mcgrady is exempt for never getting out of the first but he played some good teams those years and all of those series were close and could have went either way. And I don't think T-mac's team was the higher seed in any of those playoff years you named. He was going down fighting against those teams not going out in a 4 or 5 game series.

:dead: @ this lame nikka still bringing up T-Mac's all nba teams when I just debunked that shyt. :camby:

No Celtics team was openly tanking. Paul Pierce was injured during the 06-07 season. The second best player on that team was either Wally Sczbeiack or a very Young Al Jefferson. Go back and look at that roster and tell me how can anyone win with that team. :heh:

T-Mac had Yao and still could never get out of the first round :camby:
