t-mac's prime was riddled with injuries.

when healthy, he was on the same pedestal as kobe.

and im not even gonna bother arguing about Iverson on here anymore. how Iverson constantly gets underrated on a so-called hip-hop message board is beyond me. you'd think he would be overrated on here instead, but no. wow.

he overrated by being not as good as nikkaz portray him as.

he is between top 50 player but like 46ish or some shyt.

Tmacs Prime lasted 150 games and Paul Pierce won a championship during the span. It's hard for me to give him props for that. That would be like saying Jeremy Lin was the best Point Guard in the league during his prime when linsanity only lasted 2 months.

Injuries are a part of the game. Kobe has been hurt just as often and severely as Tmac but the fact that he can come back from them quickly perform at the same level shows that he is on a pedestal higher than mcgrady.

how can t-mac have 7 all nba SEASONS with a 150 game prime?

yall just have very short memories

but i agree, jeremy lin sucks and i screamed it during linsanity.....one of the most embarassing times in nba history

Paul Pierce averaged 19ppg 6apg 5apg and had a higher PER than almost every eastern conference all star reserve last season. He looked winded in the playoffs, but in the second half of the season(mainly when Rondo went down) he played great, so I have no idea what you're talking about. After Rondo went down Pierce, all of Pierce's numbers went up and he had like 4 triple doubles. He broke down in the playoffs due to fatigue and being asked to do too much. He was a 35 year old SF being asked to play PG and still score.

T-Mac on the other hand hasn't played meaningful minutes in the NBA in about 4 seasons.

Pierce at his best(05-06 season) was better than any version of T-Mac.

You're obviously not the biggest Pierce Stan on this forum, but that was cute of you to add. :heh:

Lets forget he's been playing with the best passer in the league who gets him ridiculously open looks quite often. I could care less about PER cause it doesn't add in defense among other things

He didn't play great, he played as well as I would expect him to play being the primary ballhandler when Rondo went down. His assists went up along with his hilariously bad turnovers he has the tendency to make. And if he was asked to much what happened in 2012 when i had to painfully watch Rondo and old ass KG attempt to beat Miami themselves (and coming damn close) while Pierce and Ray Ray looked scared as all hell any time they touched the ball?

02 Tracy was better than any version of Pierce and the best 2 guard of the early 2000's. Pierce has never been top 5 as a player in any season in his entire career. He was a better scorer, particularly when he got hot, much more explosive going to the rim, and a better defender (and that's saying something cause Pierce is almost as bad on D as Ray Allen was) and ironically you pick Pierce's best season which came right after the rule changes where every perimeter players numbers exploded and they still barely match up with 02 Tracy. its a shame Tracy's back gave out in 04 cause he would have been the best 2 guard for a long long time some time. Pierce is a great shooter, very good at drawing fouls, and has the court vision to make the necessary pass but he didn't draw the attention Tracy did and has at no point been even an average defender in his career.

Iverson was old and broken down when he was playing for the Nuggets?

he had his highest ppg season ever just a season prior going to the Nuggets.

The Nuggets didn't do shyt because they didn't play D and were kinda stupid. Iverson was even better than Melo in 08.

Rule changes made him look better than he was. AI without handchecking is completely unstoppable but he was obviously slowing down by that point. 8+ seasons of 40+ minutes a game will do that to you including all the various injuries no one ever talks about cause he always tried to play anyway

Tmac was one of the most crowned nigguh's ever on the forum. Only in the last year has he Ben mention in a positive view, somewhat. When he played on Atlanta ppl were shutting gong he hawks for adding death to their bench. He got no respect when she plays for Houston ont he d forum. The heat with four hall of famers and the best player in the league on their squad got way more props for their legendary winning streak than the rockets got with their one superstar(TMac) on their legendary winning streak.

Whatcumean?
In the past two years alone Kobe has had several ankle sprains, a broken nose, a torn ligament in the wrist, and a torn Achilles. and still only missed a few games. Injuries are common its just some players recover completely and others get flabby and sick after a while.

the torn Achilles is the first and only serious injury kobe has had.

Both Tmac and AI at their best were undeniably better then Pierce. But Pierce has longevity on his side and was very consistent throughout his career. Last year was the first year where i noticed a considerable slip in Pierce's game but even at this point most teams probably wouldnt mind having him as their starting small forward

Tmac was a top 5 player at his peak, when has pierce been on that level :russ:.
It's like this Pierce has never been an A but he has always been a solid B+ for every season.
Mcgrady has an A+ for two or three years doesn't away from the fact that he was a C- every other year.
In the end the average make Pierce look better in retrospect.
Ya'll keep trying to say Mcgrady is better but he isn't, which is why he isn't on an nba roster and pierce is. You can only qualify it but by selecting 3 outta 15 seasons where he actually played better.
But that sound stupid to me. how you gonna give somebody props for 3 outta 15?
