I don't care. I don't trust most of what I read on the internet. I know the black cultural character. Black kids don't hold white people in such high esteem that they would verbalize that academic achievement = "acting white".
Can you picture a black kid saying that? If so, you're probably not black.

Besides, these people who say they were bullied are looking at their subjective experiences and assuming they were picked on because they were "smart". Ok -- that's fine. What most of them are not saying is someone told them their academic achievement is "acting white", because it doesn't happen.

I already posted an article with multiple sources, many of them black. this is not a phrenology or eugenics argument, or even something along the lines of the Bell Curve, and it's disingenuous to compare it as such.
no one is saying Black people ended up in our situation by accident, and if you actually bothered to read those studies weren't conducted in a vacuum and mitigating factors were taken into consideration, in fact they're part and parcel of the larger picture some of them are trying to make more clear. I don't know why this bothers you so much
what's really telling is that in this thread for every nikka saying it's bullshyt and made up, there's somebody else saying that's how it was for them and the people they saw growing up. if it was all made up bullshyt then wouldn't that be what the consensus is
you can't just take people's life experiences and say "no" because they don't fit your argument, especially when there is concurrent research affirming the experiences of these people.

If you remember all of the shyt that you claim then also remember that they started busing a lot of Black kids out of Black neighborhoods to attend schools in White neighborhoods to relieve some of the overcrowding in Black schools. So as it turns out separate was not equal and even the researchers and lawyers during that time period knew that Black kids were being set up for failure in predominately Black public schools; and that if provided the same resources as White student then they would succeed.
But let me guess; it is all a big accident how Black people got to where they got and since you got picked on then that means that nikkas were just angry at your intelligence.
I went to an all black school at least 96% black. There was no such thing as talking white or acting white. Cause there was no white people around to compare too.
Also going to black schools it was evident that certain black people grew up more privileged than others, but that had nothing to do with acting white, many of those people simply had both parents or a parent that pushed them to study etc wasn't a big deal.
I think the talking white is usually for those who grew up around mixed or white areas.
That's basically non existent in black areas.

Dude I'm just totally dumbfounded right now because, honestly the only kids I know that were clowned or mocked when it came to academics in black schools were those who struggled reading on a 4th grade level or those who couldn't do a math equation on a board in front of the class so the other kids perceived them as being "slow" and would ridicule them for it but, I guess that wasn't the case for other people in other environments.

exactly. nikkas who thought they was better or "smarter" were capable of being a$$holes too. Then turn around talkin about "black people don't like me cuz i'm smart and talk proper". At my school alot of the ratchets were the ones on the honor roll making straight A's and shyt. There was no correlation between popularity and grades. Seen some geek brehs that were dumb as rocks.
That is what I remember too. It wasn't the smart kids that caught Hell. It was the kids that the teachers and administrators deemed slow that caught Hell. They even put those kids in different schools or worse yet in different classrooms with kids that had physical disabilities. To me those were the kids that were poorly treated, not only by the other kids but by the administrators too. Those kids were subjected to an incredible amount of mocking and ridicule.

I think the point is that a lot of people talk about it happening, I don't think we can pretend like it doesn't happen or didn't happen.
Especially people 30 and up
I grew up in the hood, and out shyt was rockin. When I was little, there were the older homies (in high school) who used to be like "stay away from the bullshyt, go to school, you're gonna be President or whatever." That didn't mean there weren't hatin ass nikkas blowing down. I've seen both sides, it didn't happen in HS because I went to the best HS in my city, but it happened everywhere else.
