You mean like these..

Technology Architect, IT Infrastructure - Atlanta, GA - Indeed Mobile

"EDUCATION: · BS in Computer Science or Engineering or related field of study. "

Solutions Architect, Cloud Integration - Atlanta, GA - Indeed Mobile

"Education: A Bachelor's Degree in a technical discipline is required. "

These arent even senior level positions
•7-8 years of combined experience in Information Technology and minimum 3 full cycle successful implementations of integrations in cloud platforms. Should be able to manage all facets of the System Development Life Cycle.

everything else will be irrelevant in the next 10-15 years

Again, you're telling lies. There's no certification that'll give someone just getting into IT 70k. Nobody is going to trust their infrastructure to seone with a certification and zero job experience.

But if you have 2-4 years of relevant experience there are certs that you can pass in 3 months that'll get you 70k and more.

You're 100% right. This was only the case in '98-'99. After Y2KK, this phenomena never really occurred any more.

I never seen a career thread with this many hating ass nikkas...

true....thats why they dont deserve all that paper...they sit around and talk about its stressful when the network is down...

Example one of a hating ass nikka that's apparently mad because of his ineptitude to study and get into IT..it's OKAY breh I guess stick to what you know? :heh:
To the folks considering IT, only listen to MFs that actually are doing this shyt
I moved from help desk to network admin for a managed service provider in less than 2 years...and while I sit on my ass all day my job is nowhere near easy..you have to have a lot of knowledge for this shyt, cause Google will only take you so far.
tbh these enterprise dudes on here that have a single company to work for got it way better than I do as MSPs underpay and overwork..

lmao development is awesome. It's so easy to just make shyt up when someone asks what you've been doing all week, to sound like your in some deep progress n shyt

when in reality you've maybe worked 2 hours and the rest is reddit, coli and youtube

that's the hustle though. get that crazy experience going through hell having multiple customers/projects at a VAR/MSP for 2 or 3 years, and then coast for the rest of your career:ahh:

it's like a med school student doing their residency at a hospital in a dangerous city. the amount of trauma cases you probably see. the payoff is worth it

Jigga with the Roley and the Vest
It was a 5 year degree program that included 18 months of work internship.

And had I skipped college altogether I could have had 0 debt and be making more than I'm making now.

And I'd like to see you study for your CCIE while taking a full course load at night and working a full time job :francis:

I did the same shyt...I got my associates, then my a+ and net+ that summer/fall. That helped me get a help desk gig while going to school. Im in school learning a bunch of shyt i didnt care for, accumulating debt while i wanted to work. I knew shyt was a waste of time and draining me. Said fukk it and i aint look back since :blessed: Only regret is not going harder for more at the time and starting earlier.

@bdizzle do IT jobs generally drug test and do they allow you to move frequently? (ie: could you move almost anywhere and still find employment?)

The #1 problem I see on here is cats that have NO business giving advice on how to get in and maneuver the tech world, giving advice on how to get in and maneuver the tech world :snoop:. Yall need to start telling cats to post those receipts if they want to give advice :WhatevaNikka:. If that check stub ain't matching their talk, go head and give them the :camby:
