Outside of averaging two more points than Kidd career wise and the two MVP seasons, Nash Career averages fall short of Kidds career wise.
Can you at least be honest when talking about their career averages? Not only is this discussion about their primes (not careers), but Kidd averaged more minutes and had more of a dominant role on the teams he played on. These are their career averages on the same minutes:

Kidd: 12 ppg on 40% shooting and 8.7 assists
Nash: 16 ppg on 49% shooting and 9.8 assists

If we're talking about primes:

Kidd (99-08): 14 ppg on 40% shooting and 9.0 assists
Nash (02-11): 17 ppg on 50% shooting and 10.6 assists
Kidd was a better defender, better rebounder, and was the overall better basketball player.
A better rebounder is inconsequential in this comparison, especially since Kidd's rebounds had minimal impact on the game. Kidd was the better defender - but he didn't have enough impact on that end to make the margin he gave up to Nash on offense. Nash has led multiple top-10 offenses of all-time, not just the best offenses in the league during specific seasons - but of all-time. For all Kidd's 'floor general and passing ability' he led either league average offenses or the worst offenses in the league during his prime in NJ.

Not only was Nash one of the best shooters and most efficient scorers in the league throughout his prime, but his assists were the causation of some of the GREATEST offense the league has ever seen. Kidd was a liability in the halfcourt who crippled his team's offense by being a poor low-end inefficient scorer and due to that his assists were ultimately meaningless in the grand scheme of things, as he ran average to poor offenses.

Sure Nash had a better shooting percentage, but never got out the Conference finals.
This is a horrible argument. Nash constantly played against 50/60 win teams in the West, and Kidd played in the East during arguably its weakest ever period. Those Nets teams would be lucky to get out of the first round during the mid-00s in the West. Put Nash and those Suns squads in the East during the early-00s and they go to the Finals just about every single season.

The slander on Kidd here smh. Him and the Nets SHOULD have beaten the Pistons the year they won it all. Against the Lakers who beat all the teams in the west that you guys are hyping up as god level.
:dead:

You can't be fukkin' serious? Kidd and the Nets should have beaten the Pistons in 2004 - after they lost 90-69 in Game 7? Not only that, but Kidd had one of the worst playoff games in history, where he ended up SCORELESS on 0-8 shooting (playing 43 minutes) and was pretty much the main reason the Nets lost.

Kidd and it aint even close. For years he was the biggest, fastest, and smartest point guard in the league WITHOUT a decent system/team. Nash had a young stat, joe johnson, and matrix. Kidd had that mash/johnson squad in dallas and we all know how that went.

And don't get me started on the miracles kidd performed with those nets

Drafted/traded to teams which already had PGs on them. He wasn't fortunate like Kidd, who for the most part was the main PG on the teams he played on.
:martin::martin: weren't these nikkas on the same teams at one point. I think there where a few games where kidd nash and kj started together smh.

Uncertain grounds
No they wouldn't

i mean obviously its just an opinion...but that suns team was really strong across the board and they at least had a shot. if that happened last year to the warriors/steph in the finals and the cavs won somehow there woulda been a riot. when it happened to the suns..they got murked out by that stupid auto-suspension rule and the public didnt and doesnt bring that up in the defense of pringles etc...imagine if draymond and klay got suspended and steph was gashed across his head on a goon flagrant...lmao

That Suns team would've destroyed anyone from the East. The only teams that really could have stopped them was San Antonio, the later era Lakers and Dallas that during that 06-07 run.

They still don't beat the Spurs regardless of suspensions or not
