Nash was the superior player, and it's not even close. While he wasn't the defender Kidd was (Nash was certainly underrated on defense, he was a smart player who knew his limitations and was one of the best players at drawing offensive fouls), not only did he make up the margin on the offensive side of the ball but pretty much blew Kidd right out of the water on that end. Nash ran some of the greatest offenses in the history of the game, while being one of the best PG scorers in the league and shooters the game has ever seen.

There's only a few players in the history of this game who either match up or surpass Nash's impact on offense.
