He's a star because Toronto made him one. They have been desperate for a player to come and be the man.

In reality he's a tier two kinda guy. A solid player, a low level all star kinda player. He's does a lot of things though, steals, takes charges, plays solid defense and rebounds fairly well for a guard. That's why its confusing to see him play like this in the playoffs.

He's not on Kidds level though. and he has shown to have only a slightly higher BBall IQ than DD....and he's not very bb smart.

He had a good season,i understand why he was an all star,i dont understand why he stinks so bad right now...Only thing that makes sense is hes mentally weak on the big stage,i mean hes missing wide open 3s ive seen him make all year long,only explanation is confidence....

When it comes to the typical non-shooting PG, Jason Kidd is more like an exception than the norm.

Kidd grabbing a board and starting the break would be invaluable in any era.

I can understand Malta hates JKIDD type point guards. But taking Lowry over Kidd is saying, "I hate SUV's so I'd rather drive a prius than a range rover".

You could use the same argument for someone like Rubio or Rondo for being "very smart" - yet it doesn't mean shyt in the grand scheme of things when they're a detriment to their team's offense, or don't have the similar impact as other PGs in the league.

I've watched more Kidd's games than 99.9% of this board, on tape and in person. I know his game in and out. I know what he was good at and I know what he wasn't good at. But most importantly I know exactly how he influenced/impacted the game, and it certainly wasn't like all this romanticizing I see going on in this board.

I watched Kidd with the Suns, Nets, and Mavs. I saw things very differently. Your post can be reduced to, "I am a basketball, Jkidd expert, you are not." I agree with you most of the time, I agree with @Malta most of the time, but you two are way out in left field, basically in the bleachers at this point.

Breh all you need to know is that those who hold this opinion are up there in SOHH/COLI history as one of the most blasphemous things I have EVER read on here. That says A LOT in my 16 year posting career.
