How much do you get taxed by the US when working abroad? Anyone who worked while living overseas able to chime in on this? I think the US is the only country in the world who taxes expats.
Has anyone here renounced their citizenship after moving to another country? Heard it's a pain in the ass to do that too.
Just seen my boy that was out in Southeast Asia, he came home for Christmas and leaves for Indonesia tomorrow. He spent the last couple months in Malaysia on business, he no longer teaches English and works for an NGO, he makes around $60,000 out there consulting, that may not sound like a lot but that's 20x what the average citizen makes, he's basically balling out of control out there. Dude has no degree but got the job because one of the people he taught English to hooked him up. I spoke with him for awhile on it, he has enough free time and now he has enough money saved up that he's going to open his own diving school soon that caters to English speaking tourists. He bought a house there, no longer rents and has a maid that cooks for him
He invited me to go out there but I'm not fukking with them Southeast Asian airlines, they seem to have way too many problems

Long complicated story,I guess in short,I just wanna see what else is out there,I mentioned earlier I've been in the drug game for a lil bit,makin good money,while at the same time workin out of a strip club,so I've been doing a lot of partying with the dancers there,damn near hooked up with all of em,but actually built one on one personal relationships with them all,I was even basically pimpin a few for awhile,that's a whole other story tho. Honestly I just got tired of it all,I'm not a people person,but everyone tells me I'm a genuinely like able guy,and it started getting to me when I've had all my customers so happy to see me,tellin me I'm doing gods work,which in a way was fukked up,and at the same time I've learned so many of the dancers stories where it all makes sense why they do what they do,all while drunk,high and off pills.and it just felt like even tho they appreciated me that I was that dude to get it from,it felt like I was doing a good thing and bad thing at the same time,all while be being unhappy with myself,after awhile buying what I wanted I wasn't able to hide that I wasn't happy,sleeping around so easily with the dancers stop hosing that I wasn't happy,and guys would look at me funny,cuz they really can't see how they could feel bad for me since I'm out here gettin it AND fukkin the same strippers that they payin just to be tricks,I told myself I would save atleast 10k in a few months and leave,and that's where I'm at now. Dont plan on working as my expenses will be pretty low,plus the money I have will go a long way there,plus I have a lot of shyt I plan on sells in next few weeks that can net me another 2.5 k easily,plus I got fired from strip club so I got 1k a month commin towards me in unemployment,I have a few connect over there,so eventually I will want to dabble in the drug game over there

It'll be different,I think I was too close n personal with the real affects of drug users by workin at strip club,idk if you heard that new track on Wales album called girls on drugs,but he hit it right on the head with that,if I do end up involving myself down the line,it'll be on a bigger less personal scale over there,but I appreciate your words,I too hope I find what ever it is I'm tryna look for

I loved Colombia, I've said it before it's right there with Brazil for me, the only difference is I stayed in Brazil longer so I have more memories but I'd live in Colombia in a heartbeat. I didn't go to Medellin though, I stayed in Barranquilla & Cartagena, and I also got to check out Santa Marta as well. I'd still live in Brazil, the dollar is really strong compared to the R$ right now, but I also think they're going to have some problems leading up to and after the Olympics. You can't spend as much as they have between the world cup and Olympics and not run into some major problems in the future.
