I got 6k already saved up, aint tryna teach english tho, pretty sure that would involve me getting some kind of credentials, my homie said in mexico I can own a beach house and rent out rooms n basically live rent free
Well if you are into Mexican girls that could work for you, especially if you already have contacts in the country. I was speaking from the perspective of wanting to live somewhere that has beautiful women. I don't think you should travel only for women, but if you are picking a place to live for awhile, it should def be one of the considerations.

Whatever you decide to do, learn the language the best you can before you go, knowing some Portuguese is a must unless you can find some Brazilians to take you around and be your mouthpiece for you. Even if you got translator, you want to be able to speak to some bad Brasileira if you see her on your own
I would guess you just do work the same way you normally do, paying taxes might be a bit difficult.
$20k in most of Latin America would mean you don't have to work for a two years if you can manage your money right. You can buy a house down there for $20k, but you'll probably be in some remote location where finding renters might be difficult.
I cant blame them for that, it was my slip up. I shoulda known better, what I did was like something some middle aged white woman from minnesota would have done and I know better than that. I researched Barranquilla last night. Medellin and Barranquilla look quite promising.
I never had any close calls like that, but I did have plenty of people try and play me for my money when I bought things.
Yeah fam, Barranquilla is very very nice, expats live there, it's close to tourist/party spots and has a ton of modern apartments for cheap.

Rosetta stone sucks for Portuguese, you're better off finding a Brazilian tutor to have conversations with, you can find them online or on craigslist. Just start listening to Brazilian music and watching TV shows of theirs until you can find a proper teacher.
