Again, they donated to a not-so worthy cause but that's another topic entirely, and that's nice but you ever notice how all them leaders before us are dead? Because they risked their lives for it. You can't just dip ya toes in the pool, and then be like, I'm pro-black. No, you risk your money, your livelihood, and your life like those who came before us. Because although things is fukked up for us now, it was exponentially worse when our ancestors went through chattel slavery and without their sacrifices we wouldn't even be here.

And how many of us on this website can say we've risked our lives? By that definition almost no one today is pro-black.

The way white folk reacted to it should tell u that its "pro-black". :lolbron:

The message isn't groundbreaking or anything, but its definantly "in favor of" or geared towards black people and black culture.

White people simply arent used to hearing black music that uplifts and empowers black people. Hell, we arent either to be honest. Most black music they're used to hearing caters to white audiences while at the same time degrades black people. Thats the type of music they like:

White people bytch about anything black people do that isn't cac-like, that shouldn't even count as pro-black:pachaha:

I said WILLING to risk your life. Stop playing dumb, you know exactly what I mean.

Im not playing dumb. But the fact we can't call Beyonce pro black after putting money to help many, many of our people and empowering her black listeners because she's not Huey Newton is dumb.

All while wearing a blonde weave huh :jbhmm: Imagery doesn't make one pro-black. It's called putting in actual work and not being afraid to fukk up ya money. That's what those who risked their own lives during bus boycotts and protests did. Talking about loving your "negro nose", your daughter's afro hair, etc. is self-love, but not necessarily pro-black.

Can we stop with nitpicking this woman to death? Ok she has blonde weave, and? Does that make her less pro black?
How many nattys we got out here wenching it up?
We can't complain that artists aren't using their platform for positivity, then when they do still have something to say. Damn she gotta face back lash from outside and inside her community.
