This is why black fathers instilling pride in their sons is so important. Very cringe read.

Maybe some of us in here hold ourselves to a higher standard. As a man, it's my responsibility to be able to take care of myself. Failing to the point of homelessness is not an option, nor a position I disclose (should I find myself in it) to a potential partner unless I'm looking for a handout.

He could've worked himself off that couch but instead chose to exploit this woman into providing him money, a home, a car, etc.

If that were my son, I'd feel like a complete failure of a father.

Wow, I would love to read that thread.

Were the comments/attitudes similar to @5:00 in this video???

This chick is supposedly some kind of relationship expert. I can now see why so many Black women are unhappy. @2:17 she literally advises women not to lend money to a man even if the woman is married to the man, because if he is in need he is supposed to get the money from his male relatives or a bank rather than from his woman.

If the husband needed the money for a legitimate purpose like an auto repair, then that chick just gave Black women the worst fugging advice ever. If a husband and a wife are supposedly a team then why in the Hell would any wife let her husband go around trying to borrow money from other people when she knew that she had it to loan to him? That advice is the most selfish, ignorant self centered shyt of all time. There ain't no "I in team" heifer, but if the shoe was on the other foot and the husband refused to lend money to his wife, then those same selfish ignorant ass women would be saying that the man ain't shyt.

Exactly. We all fall on bad times, some worse than others. But CHOOSING to be in a relationship is a CHOICE.

If I have....
1. No place to stay
2. No method of transportation
3. Absolutely 0 money

I'm not even entertaining a relationship. A woman who I think could be my future wife could come up to me and I would be like, "nah i'm not in the right space to date now, I need to get my shyt together, I hope you understand."

I just couldn't imagine myself asking her to cut the check on every date/meal:sadcam:
Asking her to pick me up by 8 and have me back on my frens couch by midnight
Buying her only a cheap "Happy Birthday" card when her bday rolls around:francis:

I'm not hating on breh at all. I'm just saying I could never in a million years fix my face to hit on a female in his position:wow:
