Newly minted member of club 27 over here (fukk the big 30 looms ever so close:sadcam:)......I have nothing of genuine substance to add to this already beautifully woven thread of advise/clarity......so I'll just leave you juniors with a classic quotable from a morbidly obese deceased legend from one of my favourite jams;

"Stay far from timid

Only make moves when your heart's in it

And live the phrase sky's the limit

Motherfukkers

See you chumps on top

Religion is dumb b
I'm only 22 but shyt. Don't be afraid to ask questions when you're unsure of shyt. It's better to ask questions than sit in the dark fiddling with shyt until you EVENTUALLY figure out what to do. Essentially wasting time. In my case this was very valuable information to me with programming and using APIs etc.

You should swap the weed and cigarettes for lifting weights or running.... at least then you'll have a release that has some benefits....and won't cost you money.

advice for the young dudes

best game i can give is, understand this system inside and out, understand white supremacy, capitalism and the legal system....remember america is a corporation, not a country so always look out for ur self first and everybody else second.

be smart with ur money, save and invest, pay ur bills on time, dont consume materialistic items and most importantly stay out of debt

i would also say try to become independent even if u have a job, always have out outside revenue steams

stay away from females with red flags and also dudes....only surround yourself with ambitious ppl, and never trust nobody....i mean nobody!!!

read the news and read history ...and always form ur own opinion

I ALMOST learned this the hard way fukking with the wrong people, but learn how to have fun/enjoy yourself for free/next to nothing...especially if you live in a big city

you don't want to box yourself in and end up believing that it costs money to have fun....cause it's a hard lifestyle to quit once you're into it.

Don't take advice from people who haven't accomplished anything.

Don't use sick days at work unless it's absolutely unavoidable. If a place gives you 10 sick days, that does not mean you're expected to take 10 days off. Even taking half of them will get you funny looks unless you get a serious illness or something.

Don't buy things with the assumption you'll have more money to pay them off later on. If you can't afford it now, you can't afford it.

One more thing, you dont wanna be my age and be satisfied with JUST havin your bills paid.

Take the civil service exam even if you don't have an interest in the job. Nothing wrong with having options. FDNY were recruiting minorities in 2012. I told myself it would be a good idea just to take the test. I ended up not taking the test for whatever reason (probably laziness). I met this fire fighter with seven years on the job, told me he was eating more than he thought he would have been when he first got on. So I looked it up and these nikkas make damn near hundred thousand (I'm assuming minus ot?) after 5 years with 4 weeks paid vacation and a fat ass pension. Might as well call the job make 100k for the rest of your life.

Bad news is I'm 29 going on 30 and you can't be 29 at the time of the test. So even if I wanted to I couldn't join, not that I'm really interested. But it's fukked up knowing I don't even have the option.
