I'm embarrassed that y'all like it. the fukk is wrong with y'all? :dwillhuh:

and y'all know why he put the pioneers in there, just like y'all should know why the video features so many black people.

If they're showing respect to Led Zeppelin and Led zeppelin didn't start rock then....
Actually you know what ? Re-examine that post you just made, then look at my post, then get back to me.

My point is age, not origin. Led zepplin was big in the 70's. It's nothing for someone to at least be a little knowledgeable on some 80s cats.

Also Led Zeppelin music still sounds great, whereas a Grandmaster Caz song sounds outdated and corny. That's why that analogy is stupid. Comparing rock from the 70s which had 3 generations to develop some complexity to it , to rap from the late 70s and early 80s which was barely entering the recorded music stage makes no god damn sense. It's more comparible to stuff like Jerry Lewis and Little Richard, which most rock/classic rock fans don't really bump like that, because it's simple and corny

Nobody said anything about liking the music. Just respecting those that paved the way for you.

So Drake or French Montana should put old rappers that they might not even like, and that their fans definitely don't like, on a track as a sign of respect?
You don't have to put them on a track to show love. 99% of rappers never acknowledge anybody unless pressed, and never anyone from the true school era. Skit, cameo, hook, shout out, anything.
