Is there any other famous engineering in black music?
I only know Guru, I've seen the names Anthony Kilhoffer and Noah Goldstein together with Mike Dean on a lot of Good Music projects but I've never seen them or heard them speak.

Split it up in 3, that dude Vlad wouldve had part 25 with a 3 hour interview.

I have an hour left, I've been doing that with CJS interviews since the start.

There are podcasts out there...lemme put you on game

Shots Fired (a bunch of underground west coast acts)
Day 1 Radio (mostly Southern artists)
Microphone Check (artists from everywhere)

And if I missed any, somebody let me know! I'm looking to get onto some new podcasts myself

And "Shots Fired" is under the same umbrella as "Combat Jack". They do West Coast underground & legacy acts. The NYC-centric nature of Combat Jack's show isn't really a problem. The interviews can only be but so good if you're not familiar with the artist you're speaking to.
He's more likely to add another podcast that caters to Southern rap to his network than he is to start interviewing a bunch of Southern artists.

Good ass interview, the three hours blew by pretty quick.

Things that kinda surprised me.

1. He thinks Biggie is the GOAT
2. He thinks Mos is number 2 all time behind biggie
3. Says Cam could be the best ever if he was serious about it
4. Got his start with Nonchalant off that 5 o'clock in the morning joint from way back
5. First Hov track he mixed was "Take Over" (after begging Jay to let him mix it)
6. Diddy and them wanted to make 50 Cent a jiggy rapper
7. Says he's a huge DeLa fan
8. Says he ain't believe in Ye as a rapper until he heard a rough cut of Jesus Walks
9. Says most of Blueprint was done in a single weekend

All in a all just a dope interview

@CombatJack my man, you that dude and all that :salute: but you have theeee WORST opinion when it comes to ether vs takeover...seriously the worst. It is so backwards it's retarded and the lack of knowledge you have on the battle kinda exposes you :patrice: your jay-z fandom gets in the way of reality

This episode was fantastic other than that part though

I thought he stated Ether had more emotions than "facts" like Takeover and that's why Ether>>>
I think he implied production on Takeover>>>Ether. Which he has a point.
